"Positive experience with staff and nursing at Morningside House At Satyr Hill."
My family member lives at Morningside House At Satyr Hill and she's doing well. The staff is generally good. Having nursing available helps with residents' mental health needs.

"Affordable Care with Mixed Staff"
They have experienced, caring aides and techs who treat residents well. However, some new or agency aides lack skills. Common areas are clean, and maintenance is helpful. Activities person encourages participation, but value for cost could be better.

"Great Care and Activities, but Room for Improvement"
The care here is excellent. I feel my dad is safe and well taken care of. They're helpful with meals and medical attention. They offer activities like bus rides and ice cream, but more variety would be nice. The tour was great.

"Adjusting Well in Assisted Living"
The memory care wing resembles the assisted living area, which I appreciate. My loved one has a private room with a bathroom and a shower—just what we wanted. We're still adjusting, and the staff is getting accustomed to us since we've only been here a short while. So far, no problems—we're optimistic.

"Lack of Refund Communication but Good Care from Nurses"
I liked how the staff took care of my loved one and kept me informed. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten back the money owed since my loved one wasn't there long. I've tried calling and emailing, but I haven't heard anything about where my refund is

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living with Great Care and Activities"
When we can visit, the place is really clean, and all the staff are nice. Before COVID, they had lots of things for people to do, and our family member has been healthier than she's been in a long time thanks to the care they provide.

"Great Care and Hugs for Mom's 100th Birthday!"
Since we set up the camera in Mom's room, I've noticed how hardworking and compassionate is with my mother. Most of the staff just drop off food and drinks on her bedside table and leave. I've asked to serve soft foods and soups for , who has very few teeth. Our family hopes this letter brings some comfort, especially since Mom will be celebrating her 100th birthday on If I can assist with Mom's care in any way, please reach out. And kudos to—others could learn from her effective techniques in keeping residents clean, well-fed, and even sharing a hug or two to start the day!

"Neglected residents, rude staff, mom died from COVID"
This place completely neglects its duties, and the staff are dishonest, uninformed, and downright rude. They're not even remotely good at communicating with the families of residents. It's seriously understaffed and residents don't get their basic needs met. Even from the top down, there's no support from the company. My mom was diagnosed with COVID-19 on a certain date and she sadly passed away later.

"Expensive but Friendly Staff"
The staff was nice, but it’s too pricey for us. The shared companion room costs $3400/month, plus personal care adds up to $4000/month.

"No Independent Living and No Sunday Mass Transportation"
St. Ursula's Church has mass at this place on Thursdays. But they don't give rides for Sunday mass. I had to stop asking more because Mom already lost her daily mass when we stopped letting her drive. I don't want her to miss out on her Sunday services too.

"Doing Well in This Community"
Since my dad moved here, it's been a pretty good experience. He's doing as well as expected, and the staff takes good care of him overall. While no place is perfect, this community is very nice. I'd recommend it.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
I checked out this place for my mom’s care. It didn’t give us the vibe we wanted. They ask for a one time maintenance fee. There are extra charges we didn’t know about. I suggest other families visit here to know all the costs for their loved one’s care.

"Great Place for Dad, but Cleaning and Laundry Need Improvement"
Overall, we think Morningside House at Satyr Hill is a friendly and good place for our father. He has had a comfortable and positive experience during his two years there. The staff quickly handles any problems that come up. Our main concerns are that his apartment is sometimes not clean, and his bed is often unmade. There have also been issues with lost laundry and mixed-up clothes, so we now handle his laundry ourselves. We're disappointed that his monthly fees haven’t been reduced because of this. We’ve also noticed that the Sunroom can be messy during our Sunday visits. We believe the cleaning could be better and more consistent throughout the facility. However, the most important thing is that Dad is happy living at Morningside, which makes us feel good too.

"Dad's adjusting well."
Dad seems pretty content here. He enjoys the food and entertainment. They've been seating him in the lobby more often, which he prefers over the hard wheelchair pillow. His skin looks great—no sores. Honestly, he seems healthier since he arrived. He's friendly with everyone. It'll take him a bit to adjust, but that's normal. Sometimes he's demanding, but that's nothing new. Overall, I'm pleased with how things are going. Keep up the good work.

"Mixed experience: friendly staff, lacks activities for younger residents"
So far, Morningside House at Satyr Hill is pretty good. It looks nice, and the staff are friendly and seem to know what they're doing. But my family member is struggling a bit to make friends. He says most people there are older, and the things to do aren't really what he had in mind.

"Residents Unhappy with Service at Assisted Living Facility"
The food here could really be better. The person in charge of the dining room is usually grumpy and always has an explanation for things going wrong. It doesn't seem like they take the opinions of the people living here seriously. We used to have enjoyable dishes like coconut shrimp, donuts, and other pastries but those are pretty much gone now from the food list. There was once a person who cleaned the communal places and hallways every day, but that's no longer happening. The desk staff who welcome us, though, are really nice. They stopped bringing snacks to our rooms, now we have to go all the way down to the ground level area to get them. There's no way to get a cup of tea or coffee unless it's mealtime. When we ask about these issues, the response is often disbelief, or they think we're just old and confused. They really need to do unexpected visits and let the top bosses try the food they're giving us. I bet things would get better real quick.

"A New Home For My Parents"
From the first time I talked to Beth, the staff at Morningside House was friendly and helpful. Even though I was far away, we managed everything through email and phone. Now my parents are settled in their new home and really happy. They love the good food and the caring nurses and aides. I'm sure they'll be well taken care of.

"A Good Place, I'm Happy with It"
The food could be a bit better. They get plenty to eat, but sometimes it's stringy, like when they get snap peas instead of green beans. The staff is pretty attentive and overall, it's a good place. I don't have any big complaints, just little things that could be better, but nothing specific. They have been accommodating. It's a good place, and I'm happy with it.

"Limited Offsite Activities Disappointing; Otherwise Satisfactory Assisted Living Experience"
My mom moved in like two months ago, and she's doing really well there. What I liked best about Cedar Hill was they had physical therapy right there, and they were good about giving out the right meds at the right times. I gave activities a 3 because I was kinda bummed about the activities they took us to outside the place. It would be cool if they had something to do offsite like once a week, but there's only a bus that comes twice a month.
