"Expensive, Poor Staff Performance at Assisted Living Facility"
They didn't even let my dad settle in. Right after two days, they dialed 911 and sent him to the ER. They left my mom to pay a huge bill and hire a caretaker. I even saw the staff there goofing off on their phones. Plus, they hardly refunded my mom any money. Taking a person with dementia to the ER was a nightmare.

"Mixed Experience at Morningside Assisted Living"
I think Morningside is alright. They said they'd come quick when my dad pushes the button, but it usually takes longer, especially at night and on weekends. The physical therapy is okay, but sometimes they don't want to give it to my dad. When he had COVID, they didn't start it again for a long time, and then they stopped it again because of some scabs on his legs. He's not getting as much help walking as he should. On the bright side, the place is clean and the staff is mostly nice, though some are grumpy. He gets his meds on time, which is good.

"Clean and caring assisted living community"
My family and I had a good experience with Morningside House of Ellicott City. The community was always clean when we visited our loved one. Most of the staff were very friendly and seemed to really care. Overall, this is a place you should check out to see if it's right for your loved one.

"Great place with renovated Memory Care section."
We visited Morningside House of Ellicott City, and it was fantastic. I truly enjoyed it. The Memory Care area is newly updated, and the rooms are better than those in other facilities we saw.

"Great location, friendly staff, needs faster response to panic buttons."
We picked Morningside because it's close to our old place and has a lower community fee with month-to-month options. The staff is nice and helpful. They should improve their response time to panic buttons. They also do weekly laundry and room cleaning.

"Friendly Staff and Great Food at Birthday Dinner!"
I went to a birthday dinner for my mom’s birthday. The food was great, and the staff were friendly. I asked the chef to change my veggies, and he did it for me. This is the second year he’s done that, which I appreciate. Also, big thanks to [name removed] for helping my mom eat her dinner in the activity room. She’s patient and caring, even in memory care.

"Staffing Concerns"
We decided to move my loved one out of Morningside House. They need memory care, which Morningside offers. But I'm unhappy with their staff turnover and shortage. I called and emailed for 3 months, asking for reassessment, but got no response until a family member visited and demanded help. Once, my loved one pressed the alert button, but no one came. That's very concerning. The staffing issues need fixing.

"Assisted Living Felt Like Hospital, Needs Updates"
This place didn't feel like a community, more like a hospital. They had medical carts in the hallways, and there was a lot of sales talk, which made me uncomfortable. It also seemed old and could use some updates.

"Caring Staff Despite Covid Challenges"
They seemed responsive at this place. They tried really hard to take care of my loved one. It was tough because of Covid, but they did their best. They really tried to do the right thing.
