Spring Arbor of Severna Park

"Clean place with good care, check price upfront"
They take great care of my mom. But, make sure to get the price in writing from the start because ours ended up being more than what we were quoted. We picked this place for two reasons: we liked the dementia unit and the rooms are bigger than most places. It is very clean and well-kept.

"Areas for Improvement"
Overall, it’s more than just okay. It costs a lot, but they seem to manage things well. The meals and nursing care could be faster.

"Mixed Experience at Spring Arbor with Service Shortage"
At first, it was tough for my family member, but they're settling in better now. I'd suggest Spring Arbor to others. There's a shortage of care services, but that's common everywhere.

"Needs Improvement in Accessibility"
This place had an open layout with comfy chairs, but they didn't have hoyer lifts for my family member.

"Mixed impressions; unprepared for facility tour."
The Spring Arbor of Severna Park seemed fine, but they weren't ready for the tour.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I’d say to my friends that the common areas look nice, and the rooms are a good size. However, the care provided is lacking, and it doesn’t feel like a good value. The nurse-to-patient ratio seems off, and I believe the overhead costs are high. Plus, the rates keep going up.

"Disappointing Care at Assisted Living Facility"
When my husband moved into the “cottage,” nobody was there to welcome him, even though they knew he was coming. I struggled for three days to get his room warmed up from 72 to 77 degrees. The Director seemed really cold-hearted. The facility didn’t live up to what they promised during the tour. I had to take my husband home after just a week. It seemed like they cared more about making the place look nice than looking after the people living there. After I decided to take my husband out of there, I wrote them a letter. But nobody got in touch with me to talk about it. It looks like all they cared about was keeping our money.

"Needed transportation to church"
We thought about Spring Arbor for my mom, but when we called, they said they couldn’t take her to church.

"Good choice, but we went with one closer to family"
This place was our second pick. We went with one closer to our family. The staff here were very nice. The place was clean, they allow pets, and they had some good activities.

"Assisted Living Lacks Independent Living, but Feels Like Home"
The staff was nice and the place felt cozy, but it's far from my family, and they don't offer independent living.

"Friendly and Caring Staff in Clean, Inviting Community with Good Food"
This place is great! The people who work here are really nice and friendly. They always checked on my dad a lot to make sure he was okay. And whenever he needed help, they were there fast. There are lots of fun things to do here, too. The food is pretty good, and everything is clean and nice. I definitely think it's a good place to be.
