"Friendly and caring community with great staff"

We chose this place because it was friendly, had long-time staff, and caring people. Plus, the price was good. I would recommend it to others.

"Great tour, tough decision"

Our family took an in-person tour and thought it was nice. It was a hard decision for us.

"Friendly Staff and Resident Care Top Priorities at Sunrise"

I was very impressed with Sunrise of Montgomery Village. The manager I met was very responsive. The staff were super friendly. It was clear that taking care of the residents was their priority. I didn’t realize how important that was until we had some bad experiences at the place we chose. Looking back, we might have been happier with the care at Sunrise. But, it seemed like a smaller place with older, less active residents. It was darker and felt more like a senior home than the one we picked.

"Great community, but location too far"

The building was a bit old, and the community was really nice. But, it was too far for my loved ones.

"Great Staff, But Disappointing Facility"

I really liked the employees and the sales guy. He was easy to talk to and gave awesome info. However, the place itself was pretty old and I wasn't struck by it.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

The place is okay, but not great. The staff is friendly, but sometimes they forget things. The food is alright, but it could be better. I wish there were more activities to do. Overall, it's just average.

"Caring Staff and Cozy Rooms"

We picked Sunrise at Montgomery Village because it’s in a good spot, has one-bedroom options (not just studios), and is affordable. The rooms are big enough for our needs. The best thing about this place is how the staff takes care of the residents—they’re always checking in. I’d recommend it.

"Friendly staff and clean but expensive"

My loved one had a good experience. The place was clean and better than others I've seen. The staff was very friendly and took care of my loved one's needs. She had her own apartment. Overall, I would recommend this place. However, it's a bit expensive. The only complaint was that my loved one didn't like being left out of social activities. They tried to get residents to socialize. She also didn't want to be alone at night, but they wouldn't let a staff member stay with her. Overall, I was happy with this place.

"A Welcoming Community with Room for Improvement"

This assisted living facility offers a variety of activities like bingo, bunco, exercise classes, and book clubs. There are social events too. The food is decent, and they try to please all residents. My mom's two-room suite has a layout we like and plenty of space. It's an older place and could use a makeover. Outside, there's a nice area with a shaded patio. The staff is very helpful, especially with my mom's doctor visits. They keep everyone well informed, including families.

"Great care, good location, and flexible pricing at Sunrise"

My mother is in the memory care unit at Sunrise. The staff are very patient with the residents and treat them with respect and dignity. We picked Sunrise because it's close to our family, the staff gave us good information during the tour, and they offer various price options instead of just one standard rate. You need to be active in advocating for your loved one and stay connected with their outside healthcare providers. I appreciate that I can visit anytime, even to tuck my mom in at night. The food is good, with a basic menu and two entrée choices at each meal.

"Thriving Community with Plenty of Amenities, Highly Recommended for Seniors"

My dad's thriving at this place! He's more social, loves the activities, and enjoys eating with everyone in the dining room. It's a great community with lots of cool stuff for residents. You should totally check it out!

"Top-notch assisted living facility earns high praise from satisfied visitors."

We really liked the staff; they were super nice. Most of them have been working here for 5 to 10 years. The place was very clean and welcoming. We checked out both the assisted living and independent living apartments, and they were really big. We're seriously thinking about choosing this place for my mom.

"Attentive Staff and Good Activities"

The staff have been very attentive to my loved one’s needs, making her feel comfortable and safe in her new home. They offer many great amenities and activities during the week like board games, field trips, and movie nights. My only concern is that the staff should consider my suggestions so my dad can enjoy the activities too.

"Perfect Care for Dementia: Great Relief and Happiness"

Sunrise at Montgomery Village is a great place for my husband's brother, who has mild dementia. My husband was very stressed trying to care for him, but now he feels much better when we visit. His brother enjoys delicious food and has the help he needs to live on his own in his apartment. He even joins in activities. We are really happy and thankful.

"Pros and Cons"

Let's break it down: Pros: 1. Lovely People: The staff members are genuinely caring and lovely. 2. Safety Priority: Residents' safety is a top priority, especially for those at risk of falls. 3. Active Community: The facility encourages social interaction by gathering residents for activities. Cons: 1. Communication Lapses: There's little follow-through and communication among staff members. 2. Logistical Challenges: Staff prioritize safety-related tasks over personalized care requests. 3. Expectations vs. Reality: While better than nursing homes, individual attention may fall short.

"Friendly Staff and Many Activities, Separate Bathrooms"

The caregivers and staff at every level are caring, friendly, and eager to please. There are many activities. The only drawback is that the bathroom is separate.

"Nice place with friendly staff"

Our time at Sunrise at Montgomery has been short, but I think they do a good job. The place looks nice, and the staff are friendly and professional.

"Mixed experience: Friendly staff, delicious food, lacking cleaning service."

My time at Sunrise at Montgomery Village has been kind of mixed. Most of the staff are really nice and pay good attention to the residents. They make sure everyone comes down for breakfast and quickly fix any problems. The food usually tastes great, especially the desserts! They offer a good variety of activities too, though I haven't tried many. But, the main downside is the cleaning staff. They don't seem to pay attention to details, so I end up cleaning a lot myself before or after they come.

"Friendly Staff, Needs Better Socializing and Facility Upkeep"

The place was pretty good on the whole the workers were nice and it was always clean. But there were some things that made it hard for my Mom to feel at home. They weren’t the best at helping new folks get to know each other. In the eating area, you always sit in the same spot, and I think it’d be cool if they mixed it up sometimes so people can make new friends. There are two lifts, but one was out of order while Mom was there, which made it tough for her to get around. Plus, they should have a spot outside with a roof for folks who want to smoke.

"Fine Choice"

We picked this place because of its location and the services it offered. It was a pleasant, tidy, and welcoming facility. While not everyone is perfect there, we did encounter a few situations where things were handled poorly by one or two individuals. However, these issues weren't life-threatening or serious problems, so we didn't voice any concerns.
