"Clean Facility, Friendly Staff, Room Cleaning Needs Improvement"
We chose this place 'cause the staff was nice and friendly. The place was neat. But lately, I've seen some changes. They really need to step up their game with housekeeping. My family member's room and bathroom haven't been cleaned in weeks. Other than that, everything else is good.

"Friendly Staff and Convenient Location"
It cost a bit more than other spots, but it was closer to home. Everyone was nice and they helped answer all my questions.

"Nice place, needs walk-in showers, too expensive."
This was a nice community. It would be better if the bathrooms had walk-in showers for the residents. It was also too expensive for us.

"Disappointing Care at Sunrise: Overpriced, Understaffed, and Poor Food Quality"
I think Sunrise cares more about looking like a good institution than actually being one. This place seems more set up for people who just need some help with daily activities rather than those with memory issues. I saw some stuff during my frequent visits to my loved one that really bothered me. The food they serve here really isn't great. They told us there'd always be this one food on offer from 7 am to 7 pm, but then the residents would have to practically beg for it. A few caregivers here did a decent job, but I think they don't focus enough on each individual resident in the memory care section. There weren't enough staff around most of the time my loved one was staying. I usually saw about one staff member for every ten residents. They summoned lots of temp agency staff to try to fill in. After they jacked up the prices and we continued to be unhappy with the service, we had to move my loved one away from here. Throughout this experience, I felt frustrated, mad, and so sad about leaving my loved one in this place. It took a lot of talks before the management finally started to deal with our concerns. The food really wasn't good. Even basic sandwiches came without anything like mustard or mayo, and the soup was just lukewarm milk with vegetables.

"Dedicated Care with Minor Service Challenges, Overall Satisfactory Experience"
I think it's really good; they are taking great care of my loved one. I'm really happy. I've had to lower my rating on a few services, but like other places, they are having trouble hiring staff. When there aren't enough people, some things don't happen as quickly as you'd like. If you only have three caregivers when you really need four to five, it can take a little longer when a resident rings their bell for help. This isn't just a problem at Sunrise, but they are trying their best. I have been really pleased with the medical care my loved one is getting.

"Quick Dismissal from Sunrise of Annapolis: Very Dissatisfied"
My grandmother only stayed at Sunrise of Annapolis for around a month and a half before they sent her home with hospice care. We knew she wasn't in the best health, but this seemed too fast. I can't say I'm happy with how things turned out. I wouldn't suggest this place to others, even my friends.

"Good executives, inconsistent daily staff"
We had a great experience with the executive staff, but the floor staff was different. We chose this place because it was clean and the staff communicated well with families. They need to improve on meeting family expectations. The daily staff is inconsistent. Overall, I would recommend it to other families.

"Assisted Living Community Review"
I would tell others to consider this place for their loved ones. The staff communicates well, but you usually have to start the conversation. The food choices are limited. Sometimes it doesn't taste very good and lacks flavor. There's not much fresh fruit or vegetables, maybe due to COVID-19.

"Communication Concerns at Assisted Living"
It costs a lot, and we wish for better communication, especially during the pandemic.
