"Tour Reveals Concerns in Assisted Living Selection"
We visited this place in person, and right away, we felt like it wasn't the right fit for our family member. The cost seemed okay, but we weren't confident about the size of the rooms, and overall, we didn't feel good about it.

"Visited Worn-out, Hot Care Facility With Affordable Rates"
We had a look around this place when we were trying to find a good care home for someone in our family. It was one of the cheaper places nearby, but the home wasn't in the best shape. It looked kind of old and worn out. Plus, when we went there in the summer, it was really, really hot inside.

"Avoid Whitewood: Bad Care and Unreachable Owners."
I usually don't write reviews, but it's crucial to share what my family experienced at Whitewood Assisted Living, Grasonville, MD. It's a less costly center, but the poor quality of service makes it pricey. This place is more like a dark room where an aged, dear family member suffers. There are no fun or social interactions. The meals are terrible. The nursing team is just one person at a time and they lack experience. Their job chain includes looking after an aggressive patient who often leaves the home, preparing meals, cleaning up messes, and catering to all residents. Despite paying for 24-hour care, our loved one fell twice within one month, resulting in two hospital stays. One fall landed her in a trauma unit and for eight hours we had no idea where she was, a horrifying situation because she could have died. Later we discovered that she was airlifted to Baltimore, supposedly local. The unreachable owners reportedly turn off their cell phones and retreat to their quarters upstairs every night. The day we decided to move our loved one, we found her lying on a mattress on the floor because apparently, bed rails were too much of an expense. Despite our attempts, the owners stayed locked in their homes, not answering our knocks or returning phone calls. We later discovered our loved one's prescriptions were trashed. She's now at the Heartland House nearby, where she's thriving, enjoying activities, and seems quite content. Do your homework before you choose a place like Whitewood! It's not worth the few dollars you save! Today, we have a joyful loved one and the little extra we pay is well worth it!
