"Communication Issues Impact Quality of Care"
This place is really pricey. I think the workers care about the people they help, but they’re not good at talking with the family. They don’t let the spouse or the POA know about any changes in medicine or behavior. Sometimes, even within the staff, there’s a problem talking, like between the physical therapist and the nurse.

"Community seemed nice but too much care for loved one."
The community seemed nice, but my loved one wasn't ready for that much care yet. So we knew it would be too much for her at the time.

"Assisted Living Facility Offers Friendly Atmosphere, Encourages Resident Engagement"
The experience here has been great. It won't be long-term because she's getting better. People are friendly, but there's a slight staff shortage. Management is nice and doing their best. She's made friends and gets to make Christmas wreaths and join other activities because she's creative. I'd recommend them to others.

"Comfortable, caring memory care in a beautiful location"
We moved my father to the memory care part of Bay Square. It took him some time to adjust, but now he’s feeling comfortable and content. They offer a variety of activities and encourage participation while respecting each person’s individuality. The staff is very caring and sensitive to residents' needs, and we feel lucky to have found this place for my father. It also helps that the location is in a charming town and beautiful area, so getting out and exploring is always enjoyable.

"Mixed Experience: High Costs and Alternative Options Considered"
My visit went well. They support us until our money runs out, roughly $10,000 monthly for both of us—about 4 years. If we last longer, we must find a Mainecare-friendly place. He suggested considering hospice or Visiting Angels and a Mainecare-accepting facility like Avita in Brunswick Landing. I'll check out these options.

"Disappointed"
After my loved one passed away. We liked the place, but getting our money back took forever. They promised one amount, but we received much less.

"Assisted Living: Enjoyable Stay, Needs Skilled Nursing for Safety"
The family thought moving mom from skilled nursing was right. She enjoyed staff, food, but needs more care.

"Costly Services at Friendly Assisted Living"
The place was tidy, and the staff I encountered were nice and useful. It's a bit pricier than what we wanted, though. They do charge for each service.

"Mixed Feelings at Bay Square Assisted Living"
We thought Bay Square was nice, but it felt too similar to our current living situation. More focus on memory care is needed, and we preferred Avida over the Harbor area. The tour guide's lack of information made the experience just okay.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
Overall, the care is good. There were some issues at first when my mom moved in, but they're helping us, which is a positive. The place is clean and the layout is nice. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

"Quality Care in Assisted Living"
My brother is getting used to this place, and we think it's a good community. They're taking good care of him despite his health challenges. A Place for Mom helped guide us.
