"Staff Shortage and Rising Costs, But Activities Are Worth It"

The staff is often not enough, so sometimes you have to wait a long time to get into the building. Sometimes, the food is served on paper plates. Even though the price has gone up by 5%, it’s still a good deal because the activities keep everyone busy.

"Great activities and friendly staff at Ashley Court of Brighton"

One thing our family really likes about Ashley Court of Brighton is all the activities they offer. Even though he’d rather not be there, he still thinks everyone is very nice.

"Decent place, but nothing special"

The folks here are friendly and seem to get along. We chose this place because it's affordable, close to where we live, and they had a spot available.

"Staff Lacks Professional Training, Mistreats Residents"

Their employees aren't trained in medicine. I asked a girl who was handing out meds and she admitted it. They break so many rules it's unbelievable. All workers during the evening and late at night just hang out in the living room on their cell phones or watching TV. They never checked on my person - she was halfway off the bed soaked in urine and they didn't give her a bath until me and a nurse from hospice did it the day before she died. The person in charge had her inexperienced son handling the meds and such. None of the staff had proper training at all.

"Lack of Organization, Lost Jewelry, and Negligence at Facility"

This place didn't have a clue about how to get newcomers set up. There were no standard rules or steps they followed. My stuff got nicked, including some jewelry. They didn't keep on top of the meds or have regular check-ins with Doctors. I always had to chase them down for updates. Trying to get a call back was like pulling teeth. The list just goes on...

"Assisted Living Excellence: Clean, Friendly, and Caring Environment"

My loved one stayed here. It's a nice place—clean, friendly staff, good care. Her needs changed, so we moved her, but it was great while she was here.

"Helpful and Supportive Assisted Living with Regular Updates"

They gave good support to my loved one and our family. The staff were ready to help and would keep me updated regularly. We had a good experience during her short time there.

"Pleasant Facility with Some Minor Issues and Waiting List Option"

I liked Ashley Court of Brighton. It was a nice place. The administrator we met was very upbeat and helpful. She gave us a lot of useful information about senior care that could apply no matter where we choose. I appreciated her honesty. The facility was a bit older, and the carpets in the common areas had some stains. But we know that things get messy sometimes because people live there. The room they had available wasn’t the best fit for my loved one. It had a tree blocking the window, and he likes more light. There was also a crack and some water damage on the wall. Other than that room, we liked Ashley Court. So, we put him on a waiting list for a different room. The residents there seemed happy.

"Mixed Experience with Meals, Excellent Care for High Fall Risk"

"Our loved one wasn't very happy with the meals and dining – we're unsure if it was the meal quality or related to her dementia. However, the staff did a great job considering her high fall risk. Based on our experience, we would recommend Ashley Court to other families if it fits their loved one's specific needs."

"Avoid Ashley Court: Poorly Supervised and Unappealingly Dirty"

My mom stayed at Ashley Court briefly, but due to an urgent issue, we had to move her to a different place. I strongly advise against choosing Ashley Court as a care facility. My mom needed high-level memory care, but the conditions there were horrendous. The place wasn't appealingly clean, and residents were aimlessly moving into and out of their rooms with barely any staff supervision. Even when hospice workers came to interview my mom, they misplaced her in the wrong room, unable to correctly monitor residents. We couldn't transfer my mom away from Ashley Court quickly enough.
