"Facility Struggled with Care, Pricing Felt Unfair"
The initial experience was okay, but the facility struggled needs. I spent a lot of time explaining what she required, and she was only there for six days before being hospitalized for seven days. After returning, she passed away just four days later. I agreed to the pricing, but it felt unfair. You have to pay for an extra 14 days beyond when you leave, so they only cared for her for about 14 days but charged for more. I wasn't completely happy with the facility, but she wasn’t there long enough to fully evaluate it. I hope this makes sense, and thanks for asking for the survey. Have a great day!

"Assisted Living Offers Active Lifestyle and Value for Money"
The food options are like chili and tomato-based, and my loved one enjoys trying them. They stay busy with activities such as daily Bingo, movies, crafts, and trips to the local grocery store. We chose this community based on recommendations from friends and family and its proximity to my loved one's house. The tour impressed us with their kindness. Overall, we feel we're getting good value for our money.

"Lack of assistance and security concerns during facility tour."
I went for a tour but had trouble getting help. Empty hallways, no warmth.

"Misleading, understaffed, and unsafe assisted living with poor amenities and care."
They didn't tell us about psychiatric patients in memory care. They were severely understaffed, so our loved one didn't get enough care. She fell multiple times because she wasn't properly watched. They don't have a system to check medication. Once, they gave our loved one the wrong medication, sending her to the hospital. There were no activities, and the food was almost inedible and not nutritious.

"Management Change and COVID Concerns at Assisted Living Facility"
The facility is going through a change in management right now. They’re in the middle of switching to a new company, which should be complete by [date removed]. They want to keep as many of the current staff as possible, and it looks like they’re managing that so far. I went to a meeting with the new managers, and I was impressed, but I need to see more to be sure. They answered a lot of questions, but actions speak louder than words. A few days after my loved one moved in, there was a positive COVID case. Because of this, I didn’t visit the building until the situation was under control. I noticed a relaxed attitude towards mask-wearing in the memory care area. I talked to the executive director, and they put up a mask sign, but I think healthcare workers should be more cautious. Not everyone is vaccinated, so being careful is really important.
