"**Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility**"
The staff were really kind to my mom. They usually respond quickly to emails and such. The food could be better it's often served cold when I'm there during meal times.

"Mixed Transition, Kind Staff"
Big changes happening! They struggle to keep staff and are hiring new executives, medical office workers, maintenance, and housekeeping. Communication isn't great due to being stretched thin. But the day-to-day staff we meet both employees and our loved ones are incredibly kind and friendly.

"Great COVID Safety, But Bathrooms Need Improvement"
I was super impressed with how they kept COVID out for so long, except for one case. They followed all the rules and made sure everyone stayed safe. They tested everyone and stayed on top of it. The only thing they need to work on is keeping the bathrooms cleaner and well-maintained for the residents.

"Mismanaged Facility Fails to Deliver on Promises"
We brought my family member here a couple of months back and on move-in day, we had an awesome lunch. But, just two days later, the cook was gone, and the food got real bad in no time. My loved one was being served cold food without any sauces. We moved him here because he needed help with cleanliness, like taking showers. We asked for two showers a week but they didn't even show up for two weeks. In total, he only got 4 showers in two months. They haven’t kept their promises from the start. This place is mismanaged and we've had a terrible experience.

"Azpira Faces Staffing Challenges in Assisted Living"
We moved both my parents into Azpira. Their health was declining, so I had to act quickly. Although I didn’t have much time to explore, I took a chance with Azpira. The place felt clean and bright when I walked in. However, their biggest challenge, which I believe is a nationwide issue, is understaffing. On the first night, my father had a medical emergency, and my mother couldn’t find any staff—they were asleep. It was traumatic for her, and I was unhappy too. But after that rough start, the management went out of their way to care for my parents during their stay. The director was honest about staffing limitations, which I appreciated. Assisted living should provide an honest assessment of staff competence, despite glossy brochures. Unfortunately, many facilities are chronically understaffed, affecting families. Despite that terrible night, they treated my mother like everyone else. I valued the director’s honesty. Another challenge was keeping the dining room open due to understaffing. Individual meal delivery affected food quality. Finally, they managed to open the dining hall after trying for a while. Night nursing staff shortages were also an issue—they struggle to find qualified nurses for overnight shifts

"Facility Fails to Provide Promised Care, Results in Hospitalization"
This assisted living facility was not what they promised. My loved one cannot move around, and they assured me she'd be put to bed each night. However, one night she stayed up all night because they forgot about her. Her blood pressure dropped dangerously low and she passed out. She was able to call me multiple times, alerting me that they hadn't put her to bed. After several attempts, I finally got through to an employee who claimed she'd fix the problem. Instead of helping her into bed, they just left her in her wheelchair with a pillow and even moved the phone so she couldn't reach it. Eventually, paramedics came and took her to the hospital, where they found medical issues similar to a diaper rash. This showed that the facility was not changing her regularly like they promised. After the hospital, she moved to rehab and now she's back at home under my care. Our experience at this facility makes it hard to trust other care institutions. The director and VP weren't concerned and never contacted me like they said. The place looked nice enough when I first visited, despite a consistent urine smell. Some staff were great and would call me regularly. However, since our incident, no one will contact me or return my calls.

"Mixed feelings about Azpira Place during COVID, but impressed overall."
During COVID, it's been tough. Once restrictions ease, it could improve. Recently, they just started allowing visitors last week. They require protective gear and limit visits to 30 minutes, which can be intimidating. Despite this, I was impressed during my recent visit. Everything I saw was very clean, from the front door to my loved one's room. The building itself was nice. They've been strict with COVID rules, which kept everyone safe but isolated. Missing friendship and fellowship is inevitable anywhere now. I've had limited interactions with the staff, but they've been friendly on the phone. Due to COVID, the care has dipped a bit. They come, do what's needed, but don't linger, which could be more helpful sometimes. Staff seem friendly and helpful, but there's a shortage due to COVID. Initially, we liked the food, but there's been a change in their nutritionist. Our loved one struggles with chewing, and they're working hard to find suitable food. Meals are still delivered to rooms. They've had some limited activities, and outside PT and OT services have been beneficial. That's supplemented the care well. It was a unique experience for our loved one entering the community in a wheelchair for the first time, but the community came together to help with the transition.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
This review highlights both positive and negative aspects of the assisted living facility. The common spaces are clean, and the lady at the front desk is friendly and helpful. However, some staff members are uncooperative during check-in and check-out. The lack of attention to personal grooming and medication updates is concerning. The smaller memory care unit doesn't fully meet expectations.

"Friendly Staff and Comfortable Living, with Room for Improvement"
I think this assisted living facility is really good. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is always clean and comfortable. The activities they offer are enjoyable and keep everyone engaged. However, there are a few small things that could be improved, like the food and some of the maintenance issues. Overall, it's a nice place for people who need a bit of extra help.

"Beautiful Facility with Specific Preferences"
This place is beautiful. I want single rooms for residents and a more open layout for memory care.

"Neglected Residents, Mediocre Food: Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
The staff is nice when they do something with residents. But mostly, they just hang out with each other. Residents are often left alone and ignored. The food is terrible. Chicken is often undercooked, hot food is rarely hot, and pancakes are usually cold and hard. Even after new owners took over, things got worse because the old staff who knew the residents left. No one knows what anyone else is doing, or what they should do.
