"Billing and staffing issues; friendly, personalized, clean environment preferred."

Our main problems are with billing and staffing shortage. Friendly staff. Prefer smaller, more personalized, cleaner environment.

"Disappointing Care: Clean But Neglectful and Unfit"

I really regret this choice, it was a total mess. If I could go back, I'd choose a different place. This place didn't check on the patients like they said they would. Sure, it was clean and seemed to have things to do, but overall, this was completely wrong.

"Friendly and clean, but meals and activities need improvement"

**Review:** So far, our experience has been great. The staff is really friendly, and the place is always clean. However, the meals could be better. They should be served on time and hot. Also, there should be more activities for everyone. **Headline:**

"High Costs and Small Spaces at Brookdale Delta"

We checked out Brookdale Delta and there was a lot we didn't like. The rooms were tiny with barely any room for visitors or family. Plus, we only spotted one worker while we were there. It's also pretty pricey and they have a big one-time community fee you have to pay at the start.

"Family impressed by Brookdale Delta but chose more active location."

Brookdale Delta appeared nice during our visit. However, we chose a different Brookdale with more activities and social options for our family member."

"Assisted Living Facility Disappointed Me with Medicaid Misunderstanding"

The place convinced me to consider Medicaid waiver, but when I shared my loved one's income, they seemed clueless about how it works. I expected better, especially since they accept Medicaid. Sadly, I had to find another home for my loved one because of this confusion.

"Great Care and Family-Like Atmosphere at Assisted Living"

This has been the best decision for my mom. Hospice has also been helping with care. The caregivers and staff have treated us like family. We are very happy with everything.

"Brookdale: Overly Enormous and Institutional"

I visited Brookdale to assist my buddy in finding a residence. The place felt too huge and more like a formal institution. It just did not appear suitable for my friend, so we decided to check out more places.

"Safe, Friendly, and Well-Kept: A Great Place for Dad"

My dad is doing pretty well since moving here. I feel he's safe and in good hands. The staff is nice and helpful whenever we need them. The place is always clean when I visit. Overall, things are going well with his move here. I'd recommend it to my friends.

"“Clean and Helpful, but Needs More Staff”"

We’re pretty happy with our time at Brookdale Delta. The place is clean, and the staff try their best to assist the residents. Adding a few more staff members for hands-on help would be good, but overall, we’re satisfied.

"Abysmal Meal Quality at Assisted Living Facility; Finally Leaves"

Back in July 2014, I penned a review of this senior living facility which I've grown extremely disheartened with. Despite speaking with people at all levels of management, I've not seen a resolution to my concerns. My father appreciates the community and caregivers there, however, we both are appalled by the poor quality of the meals. The choice of his frequently eating grilled cheese sandwiches wasn't his preference, but a decision forced by the unpalatable meals. Despite notifying the kitchen about his intolerance to cooked tomatoes, they haven't shown accommodation to set aside a tomato-free portion. Moreover, his grilled cheese often arrives burnt. I've witnessed many seniors hardly nibbling at their meals, leaving most of their plate untouched, only to be thrown away. The list of issues is lengthy. If you select this facility and find your loved one starting to feel low due to meal dissatisfaction, don't say you weren't forewarned. Is your elder able to eat lentils or various types of beans? How about unfamiliar spices like chili or curry powder? Or perhaps chicken that's too tough to cut? My father is no longer residing in this establishment due to these upon many other issues.

"“Inedible Food and Unmet Dietary Needs at Assisted Living Facility”"

I submitted a critique of this establishment long before, and I've grown progressively more frustrated with this place. I've voiced my concerns to everyone from the staff to higher management, but to no avail. My father appreciated the company of other residents and the kind staff members who looked after him, but the food was appalling to him and me. He resorted to eating grilled cheese, not out of preference as the leadership claimed, but because the rest of the offerings were nearly inedible. Despite knowing his dietary restriction of not being able to consume cooked tomatoes, they still failed to set aside a portion for him before adding the offending ingredient. Most times, the grilled cheese sandwiches were too burnt to eat. It's a disheartening sight to see the residents barely touching their food and the staff ends up tossing away the majority of the servings. I have so many more grievances. If you decide to send your parent here and they get disheartened due to these conditions, consider this your warning. Will your parent be able to consume chickpeas? Various types of beans? Spices like chili or curry powder? Or tough-as-nails chicken? My dad is thankfully no longer here.

"Lovely facility but not ideal for loved one's needs."

I visited this place while searching for care for my family member. It looked really nice! The building itself is beautiful, and super clean and tidy. The people working there were all really nice and ready to help with any questions I had. But my family member was having a lot of falls, and I thought she might do better in a smaller place where there's less walking, and someone is always keeping an eye on her.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvements"

I don't think Sterling House is great. They need to improve a lot. Most of the staff are nice, but some aren't. There aren't enough staff, so things are slow. The food is sometimes good, sometimes not. They make it somewhere else and bring it over, which makes it seem like leftovers to Mom and the others. Mom didn't get all the therapy she expected.

"Great place for my dad"

I'm impressed with the care, the facilities, and how clean everything is. The staff is friendly and helpful. My dad has been here for two weeks, and I really appreciate how they manage the place and take care of the residents.

"A Comfortable Place to Be"

Mom adjusted well to assisted living, thanks to the caring staff. He organizes great activities, but Mom wishes more residents would participate. She enjoys reading the newspaper and shopping trips, though she prefers smaller stores over big box ones. The food is okay, but she'd like it spicier and caffeinated coffee. Billing confusion was resolved, and overall, she's pretty happy there.

"Welcoming, Clean Assisted Living near Work"

This place is really nice. It's bright and clean, and the places where everyone hangs out are inviting. Plus, it's close to where I work.

"Mom needs more care. Not the right fit for us."

This place didn't quite work for us. My mom requires more help.

"Mom would get bored quickly, nice place but too small."

This place is too tiny for my mom. She'd get bored super fast. It's nice, but not enough room for her.
