"Management Stability Concerns Impact Quality of Care"
The people who take care of residents are really great. But, the management of the place changes a lot. This is especially a problem for the night shifts. No place is perfect, but if I knew about the management issues from after Covid, I might not have chosen this place for my loved one.

"Disappointing Experience at Brookdale Troy Assisted Living"
My family member stays at Brookdale Troy. He finds it nice but the food lacks taste and fiber. He doesn't like being around mostly memory-impaired people. He feels ignored because he's not cognitively impaired and loves talking. He wants to leave and find a place with more companionship.

"Memory Care Needs Improvements, Staff Shortages, Limited Meal Selection"
This place needs to work on its Memory Care section. There aren't enough staff, and the food options aren't great for older folks. Also, they had a flood recently, which messed up their services. We chose this place mainly because it's close by. At first, it seemed pretty good.

"Good care and helpful staff, would return if necessary"
We chose this community because they had space right away, could offer the care services needed, and had a good price. No place is perfect, but Brookdale worked really hard to meet my dad's needs. They are easy to deal with, have a nice facility, and are very caring. I would come back if needed.

"Needs Improvement in Communication and Cleanliness"
Brookdale Troy isn’t terrible, but it needs better communication, cleanliness, and care. They should offer showers more frequently—I’m tired of calling to ask.

"Great Assisted Living with Good Food, Communication, and Fun Activities"
So far, our experience with Brookdale Troy has been really good. The staff keeps us updated, which is great. They offer a menu you can choose from all day, like hamburgers and sandwiches. This means residents can eat whenever they want, not just at meal times. The food seems to be good for my loved one, and they make sure to remind everyone to head to the dining room for meals. If needed, they even bring the food to the rooms. The place is well-kept and has beautiful grounds. They even made a sports room for residents to play games. The whole community feels welcoming. They have a weekly happy hour with live music and a special Father's Day event in the courtyard where families can visit their loved ones. I would definitely recommend this place to others for their loved ones.

"Helpful staff made everything go smoothly for our loved one"
The best thing about this place was the staff. They were very helpful and went above and beyond to help our family and loved one settle in. Everything else was good, and we didn’t have any major problems."

"Assisted Living Follow-Up is Great, But Community Feels Small"
The follow-up after our visit was nice. However, the place seemed too small for our family.

"Needs Improvement: Consider Other Options"
I think this place could be better. It’s a good idea to look around before deciding. There aren’t any fun things for people living here to do. They should really have more. The cleaning of the rooms isn’t done a lot, which isn’t great. Also, there’s been a lot of new bosses, and they made the cost go up by 13% really fast, in just two months.

It is a safe and clean community. They keep me updated on my loved one's care. The staff has a weekly meeting to discuss residents' care and needs.

"Mixed Feelings: Assisted Living Review"
It's a decent place. Make sure to stay involved. Caregivers are helpful and quick. Director cooperated with Hospice and family during transition. But my loved one didn't like the food.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Food Disappointment, Care Acceptable"
My brother thinks it's alright, but the food isn't good. The care is okay, but they don't have the right stuff to cook for these people. Waffles and pancakes are always soggy.

""Improvements Needed for Better Assisted Living Experience""
We were not impressed with this care community. We weren't sure that the staff were capable of making this a positive environment for her. The place didn't live up to cleanliness expectations. Although the food options were okay, the activities were limited. I can't suggest this care community to others unless significant changes are made.

"Terrible Facility with Unreliable Care"
This facility isn't treating my dad well at all. They don't have enough staff and they aren't there when he needs aid. They also broke promises they'd made. He's falling almost three times a week and there's no one around to help him. I need to start looking for another place because this one isn't working. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Lots of extra charges, small rooms, average offerings"
The place was nice and tidy, but the room was kinda tiny. They kept charging for every little thing, which was a bummer. I didn't think they provided anything special compared to other places.

"A Great Place for Loved Ones: Wynwood of Troy "
Overall, I think Wynwood of Troy does a really good job. The place is clean and well-kept, and they offer a lot for the residents in terms of care and extra things. The staff is nice and professional, and they mostly do a great job taking care of everyone. However, I had one big problem with some paperwork from the hospital when my loved one moved in. They fixed it quickly when they found out, but families should still watch closely in the beginning.

"Poor care, communication challenges at assisted living facility"
My mom stayed here for about a year and a half, but it wasn't great, so I had to find her a new place. The people who looked after her didn't do a good job, and what we paid for her care didn't seem worth it. Plus, many of the workers couldn't speak English well, which made talking to them hard.

"Tour in Wynwood Disappointing, Feels Like Typical Nursing Home"
Wynwood reminded me of a typical nursing home the moment I stepped in. On my 20-minute tour, the nurseheading that area didn't bother to ask anything about my dad. I was completely unimpressed!

"Unsatisfactory Assisted Living Facility"
I stayed at this assisted living facility and found it to be just okay. The staff were friendly, but the overall cleanliness and organization could be improved. There were also some issues with the amenities and activities provided. Overall, it's not the worst, but there's definitely room for improvement.

"Lunch and Tour Highlight Assisted Living Excellence"
Lunch and a tour were scheduled for noon with the director. After arriving, we went upstairs to a private dining room where she served us the midday meal. During lunch, we met five friendly staff members who answered our questions. The staff seemed close-knit and proud of their community. Afterward, we explored two clean and inviting rooms. The building's layout ensures easy access for all residents. The director was an excellent guide and promised to stay in touch until she chooses a community.
