Caremore of Flint Assisted Living

"Terrible Living Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
Avoid entrusting your loved one to this place. There's a significant lack of activities, no religious services offered, and the meals provided are sorely lacking in nutrition. The TVs only function sporadically, yet the high monthly rent of $3100, which only includes medication distribution and subpar meals, also expects you to foot the cable bill. Whichever caregiver is on duty is tasked with preparing the meals, which often consist of peanut butter sandwiches with canned soup, hamburgers paired with stale chips, and frozen pizza. Nearly everyone has moved out, with those remaining either unable to relocate or just passing through temporarily. Stay clear of this facility. The management tends to withhold information from the very residents who are paying to reside there, even when they request it. If you choose to tour the place, don't forget to chat with the residents and inspect the handicap ramp at the back - residents must navigate multiple stepping stones just to reach it.

"Headline: "Overpriced Facility with Poor Services and Unhealthy Environment""
This assisted living facility is honestly just terrible. They don't cater nutritious meals unless you think frozen pizza and peanut butter sandwiches count as healthy food. There's a total lack of activities for the residents, and the caregivers clearly lack proper training. A worrying thing is the constant staff turnover. One resident's bathroom had black mold. The rooms are dim, with old blinds, dirty carpets, rusty vents and closet doors, falling electrical sockets and broken glass closet doors. The food is awful, and there's no security. Anyone can just stroll in the front door and often won't see even one worker as they walk through. The handicap ramp at the back is too difficult to use because residents must negotiate over several loose stepping stones to reach it. The manager doesn't take complaints seriously or provide information requested like the owner's name or contact details. They're currently renovating the place, but that doesn't improve the food, lack of activities or fitness, or room conditions. If you treasure your loved one, don't put them in this home. The residents pay over $3000 per month and aren't even provided with nutritious meals. The room furniture is dirty and outdated.

"Not the Right Fit for Us"
I didn't like the tour of this place. It felt dark, not the cozy atmosphere I wanted for my husband. Having to bring our own furniture seemed odd. It felt more like a hospital. Overall, it wasn't the right community for us.

"Dark Atmosphere, Feels More Like Hospital"
My tour of this place left me underwhelmed. It was kind of gloomy and that's not the vibe I want for my husband. I thought it was weird you need to provide your own furniture. It just felt more like a hospital than a home. I quickly realized this wasn't the right place for us.

"Review of Sunny Meadows Assisted Living in Springfield, IL"
Friendly and welcoming staff. They were ready for a surprise visit. The residents looked happy. This was the first place I checked out, and I liked the cozy feel and the rooms with half baths. That was a big plus.

"A Great Place for Respite Stays"
Staff was really nice, acted like a pro, explained everything well, and didn't rush us. We thought about doing a short stay here, but didn't. We might still do it later. We especially liked the extra section they had.
