"A Wonderful Change: Kay D's Transformed My Dad's Care"
My dad was at for several years before I moved him to Kay D's. I wanted to move him out sooner, but they allowed him to have his cat, so we stayed. The wait times were unbearable, and every week when I visited him, he hadn't been shaved. He was barely getting a bath once a week. The laundry was always mixed up and thrown around, and his room was dirty. As my dad's health worsened and the cat passed away, I looked for a better place closer to me that offered more personal care. I was lucky to find that at Kay D's. The care here is a huge improvement. Within 24 hours, he looked like a new person. They shave him every day and comb his hair. They are always nearby, so he doesn’t have to use a call button—though they have them if needed. The smaller, more personalized facility was exactly what he needed. Plus, the price was several thousand dollars less. The owner lives across the street and frequently checks in. She even works some shifts herself. She is energetic and caring. For her, this isn’t just a job—it’s her life. The food is healthy and homemade, and they handle all his medical needs. After years of poor hearing, they discovered he had a huge buildup of wax in his ear while bathing him. When he went to the hospital for another reason, the nurse removed a wax ball the size of a dime. She said she had never seen anything like it in her career. They keep track of everything going on with him. The home looks like something out of a magazine. They have all the equipment and items needed for top-quality care. I can't say enough good things about this place.

My dad used to stay for quite a while before I moved him to Kay D’s. We would have left [Removed] sooner, but they allowed him to keep his cat, so we stayed. Unfortunately, the wait times there were unbearable (once we waited for 2 hours!), and every week when I visited, he hadn’t been shaved. His baths were infrequent, and the laundry was always a mess. The room was dirty. As my dad’s health declined (and the cat passed away), I searched for a better solution closer to me. That’s when I found Kay D’s. The difference in care was like night and day. Within just 24 hours, my dad looked like a different person. They shaved him daily and combed his hair. I wish I could show you before-and-after photos! The staff was always nearby, whether he was in the living room, his room, or the dining area. No need for a “call” button; they even had whistles if necessary. The smaller, personalized facility was exactly what he needed, and it cost several thousand dollars less. The owner of this elder care home lives across the street and is always there. She even covers some shifts herself. It’s not just a job for her—it’s her life, her nature. The food is healthy and homemade, and they handle all his medical needs. After years of hearing loss, they discovered an abnormal wax buildup in his ear during a hospital visit. The nurse removed a dime-sized ball of wax—something she’d never seen before. They’re on top of everything.

"Initial Challenges, Now Thriving"
It took some getting used to for my mom when she moved to this care home. The house is nice, but she had an accident during her first two weeks there and got hurt pretty badly. The owner was concerned and eager to fix the issue so it wouldn't happen again. Now everything is going smoothly, and they're taking good care of her. The staff keeps me informed about my mom's well-being. Overall, I'd recommend this care home.

"Cozy Assisted Living with Great Food and Happy Residents"
At Kayd’s home, with only about 8 residents, the small group setting felt very nice. During mealtime, the food looked great, and the residents seemed happy. My only concern was the limited space; I couldn’t take my mother out for a walk. Overall, though, it’s a very nice place!

"Cozy Home with Limited Space, Delicious Food, and Happy Residents!"
Kayd's Home is a cozy place with only about 8 residents. It's small but nice. During mealtime, the food looked delicious, and everyone seemed happy. However, I wished there were more spaces to roam around because I couldn't take my mother out when I visited. Overall, it's a very nice place!

"Comfortable home-like setting for elderly residents, slightly older demographic."
My mother-in-law is 74. The people living here were older than her. I thought it felt more like a home than a big building, which was nice.

"Caring Staff in a Cozy Setting"
After our mom spent over 4 years in a big assisted living place, we moved her to a smaller one as she got older. From our first visit to Kay D’s, we liked the smaller size (8 residents) and how much the staff cared. Sadly, our mom’s health got worse quickly, and she passed away just three weeks after moving in. She didn’t get to fully experience the love and care of this small “community.”

"An Intimate Caring Facility"
After our mom spent over 4 years in a much bigger assisted living place, we decided to move her to a cozier setting as she got older. When we visited Kay D’s for the first time, we liked the smaller facility (only 8 residents) and the genuine care from all the staff. Sadly, Mom’s health declined rapidly, and she passed away just three weeks after moving in, missing out on truly experiencing the love and care of this tight-knit ‘community’.

"Small Home, Liked Owner, Business Run Well, 4 Stars"
We thought the owner was great and liked how she managed everything, but the place felt too cramped for eight people.
