"Excellent Care and Support at Townehall Place of West Bloomfield"
I was really stressed out trying to find a nice, affordable assisted living place for my mom. Everything changed when I met the team at Townehall Place of West Bloomfield. They started by asking, “Tell me about your mom.” Then, they spent 90 minutes with me getting to know her likes, dislikes, quirks, and challenges. They even drove over 40 miles to visit my mom while she was still in rehab. I was amazed. The care staff was just as great—very friendly and helpful. The team went above and beyond at every step, always staying ahead of me and ready to assist. My mom is very happy, and so am I.

"Newly Refurbished Assisted Living Facility Fails Residents and Families Due to Poor Management"
Avoid at all costs. Sure, it's been recently redone and it might seem attractive, but don't let appearances fool you. The facility is barely populated, and that's a red flag. It's terribly run; both the manager and the management company are far from good. Making money seems to be their primary focus nowadays as they constantly raise costs and invent new fees to keep going, all the while allowing hazardous conditions to persist. They're the only facility I've seen asking family members to supply state-mandated gloves for their employees. The workers are often nowhere to be found in the building, leaving residents alone while they take breaks. The manager is usually unresponsive, absent, or indifferent, and often seems to be out on vacation. She's not trustworthy and not hesitant to lie. The emergency call buttons don't work - residents have to shout for attention from the staff. They advertise activities, but they seldom occur. This facility has turned into a complete disaster.

"Headline: Sharp Decline in Care at Regent Street Assisted Living"
My mom lived at Regent Street for almost 7 years and we're going to move her somewhere else in about 2 weeks. The level of care has gone downhill ever since Meridian took over, especially in the last year or so. They don't look after the residents or check up on them as much as they claim. I installed a camera in my mom's room and have seen real, uncaring negligent behaviors. The staff currently running the place seem to not care and some of the newer employees are rude. Both employees and residents are consistently leaving, and many workers seem to only be temporary. My mom sometimes has been left sitting in her chair, drenched and uncomfortable, because nobody checked on her or changed her for up to 7 hours. They've even forgotten to put her to bed and failed to wake her up for breakfast. Both times, I was the one who had to call them out on their negligence, I even had to visit the facility at 1:30 in the morning one time because nobody was picking up the phone. That night, I found out that just one person was in charge of the entire building. Earlier reviews praise the place and it used to be really great, but I do not suggest this place to anyone unless a new company takes over and totally refurbishes it.

"Quality drops at Regent Street after new management takes over"
My relative stayed here. After Meridian Corporation began running Regent Street, the care and help dropped. Residents just get what the state mandates as minimum. The people in charge are dismissive, lacking compassion. There's been a big drop in quality since they started managing.
