"Avoid This Assisted Living: Poor Service, Unprofessional Staff & Hidden Costs"
If you're considering this assisted living facility for your loved ones, I'd suggest looking elsewhere to save yourself some stress. The administration is inefficient, and many of the aides appear to lack motivation. If you confront them about any issues, they turn the situation into a nightmare. In my experience, the director tends to defend his employees, even in the face of evidence regarding their shortcomings. In addition, please be warned: their communication is usually misleading. They'll make promises, but once you're locked in, they'll act completely differently. They may also continue raising your rent if your loved ones require additional assistance. This facility seems to prioritize profit over patient care. One aide in particular, who works the night shift, is incredibly impolite and unpleasant. In short, I recommend avoiding this place to save yourself the stress and frustration and seek out a better option for your loved ones.

"“Great Place with Food Concerns”"
I really like this place, but the food could be better. I think it’s because of staffing problems related to Covid. Overall, it’s great.

"Good Communication and Care for Loved Ones"
The care services are different from the community. The community offers independent living with extra charges for assistance. They communicate well and promptly return calls. Depending on your loved ones’ needs, I recommend it.

"Lack of End-of-Life Care Disclosure Leaves Families Unprepared"
The community didn't tell us they lacked end-of-life care. They only offered assistance for mobile individuals, which put us in a tough spot due to their lack of upfront disclosure.

"Attentive staff at Shorehaven ensure resident comfort and care."
The community has friendly staff who are organized and attentive to residents. My loved one isn't very social, but that's not Shorehaven's fault. The staff promptly address my questions or concerns about my loved one.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short of Promises"
Before signing up, make sure they can really provide care. We visited several times before moving in. They promised to take care of our loved one, but they didn't. On the third day after moving in, they said they couldn't care for them and told us to move them out. It's terrible because they evaluated and said they could take care of our loved one. We even paid for a room renovation. But now they won't refund us.

"Ruthless Eviction After Fall at Worst Assisted Living Facility"
Avoid this place at all costs! They ruthlessly evicted my mother-in-law just because she had a fall. They demanded payment for around-the-clock care within 24 hours, or threatened her with homelessness. This is, hands down, the most terrible assisted living facility we've ever dealt with.

"Shorehaven's New Owners Made Transition Smooth and Pleasant"
My parents moved in right when Shorehaven got new owners. At first, there were some issues, but they got fixed quickly. The new staff is helpful, kind, and really great. Moving to assisted living isn't easy, but Shorehaven made it enjoyable.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I thought this place would be my favorite because of its location. Many rooms have a view of the lake, and there's a walking area around it. But the receptionist didn't know about our scheduled visit, even though my name was on the welcome sign. When I told her, she snapped at me, making me feel unwelcome. I'm relieved there aren't two bathrooms in the two-bedroom apartments because of how the receptionist handled our arrival.

"Mixed Feelings: Impressive Facility but Overwhelming for Elderly Relatives"
The facility I visited was impressive. It felt too large for my mother, who might feel overwhelmed. The pool was a definite highlight!
