"Elderly Woman Evicted; Assisted Living Facility Under Investigation"
This place selfishly tossed out my 84-year-old grandma! She'd been living here for half a year when the workers there slackened off, not giving her proper care which led to her getting four bedsores. The worst part is, they kept us in the dark about it for two weeks, all the while letting her suffer. Because my grandma needed round-the-clock care, these sores were serious. As soon as we figured out what was happening, we reported them to the State Department. My mom was the one to do it since by law, as a state's mandatory reporter, she had to. She's protected by the law when she reports these things. However, the people at this place didn't take being reported well. They lashed out at my grandma by trying to boot her out. They gave us a note saying we had to move her within 30 days. But according to Michigan law, they needed to tell the State of Michigan before they could give us the boot. This is already really shady. Adding on to that, the staff's negative actions affected my grandma's health, landing her in a local hospital. A worker even scared my grandma, causing her blood pressure to go nuts. After she returned from the hospital an hour afterward, the staff supervisor and her buddies dumped my grandma's stuff on the porch and wouldn't let her back in. They forced her out without telling the state or giving a proper 30-day warning. Don't let your elderly loved ones stay here. They're being looked into for what they did to my grandma, and trust me, they'd do it to others too.

"Elderly Woman Mistreated and Evicted by Assisted Living Facility"
This assisted living facility unjustly kicked out my 84-year-old grandma! She lived there for half a year when the staff started cutting corners and stopped caring for her properly. She developed four bedsores due to their neglect. They didn’t even tell us about her condition for a fortnight before finally admitting they were at fault. She can't walk and needs round-the-clock care. My family and I noticed the lapse and reported the facility to the state department. My mom works for the state and is legally obligated to report such incidents. Plus, she has whistleblower protection as a mandated reporter. Not long after the state department’s visit, the facility management sought revenge on my grandma by trying to remove her. However, we found out that they were legally supposed to report this to the State of Michigan before delivering an eviction notice. So, they were already messing up. All the stress from this unfair situation made my grandma sick and she ended up in the hospital. One staff member, called Fe, even threatened my grandma! This caused her blood pressure to rise and forced us to rush her to the hospital. After the trip to the hospital, we returned to the facility only to find my grandma's stuff thrown outside and her entrance denied. They forced an eviction without notifying the state or waiting the mandatory 30 days. Don’t even think about trusting your elder with this place. They’re currently being investigated and, if they did this to my grandma, they’ll likely do the same to yours.

"Just What I Needed."
I was in a tough spot with my mom. She was in the hospital, and they wouldn’t release her without 24/7 care. To make things harder, I was in another state. Grace, the owner, stepped up to get my mom into her facility without paperwork or funds. Sierra Homes, owned and run by Grace (a former Beaumont nurse), offers a better alternative. The one-on-one assistance from on-site caregivers exceeded my expectations.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Comfortable Assisted Living with Minimal Activities"
Nice home on a shady street that ends in the woods. There are three double bedrooms, all for women (the assisted living facility next door is for men). Two staff members are always on duty, and the place is clean. The residents seem comfortable, and the owner, who is an the staff, lives nearby. Showers are in bathtubs with tub chairs, and there’s a small backyard and deck. However, there are minimal activities, and they serve American and Asian food. Visiting physical therapists, occupational therapists, and doctors are available.
