"Don't bring loved ones here; dirty facility and rude staff"
This place is totally gross and really needs to be closed asap. The only thing nastier than the place itself are the people who work there. There are so many issues that it's hard to pick and choose, but I'll give it a shot. I wish someone had told me, so I'm warning you. Walking into the building and you will immediately see the dirt and muck just everywhere. The main desk is covered in dust and grime. Plus, you can't even call your family member who lives here. They don't have a phone for the residents to use because, - according to them, "residents were dialling 911". I can see why! The whole building stinks of pee and the air is so bad it must be harmful to the people who live there. I don't even think the windows open. The workers here are not polite and have terrible communication skills. They also have hidden fees that they won't explain. The whole place feels like a rip-off. Me and others who have family members living here are really worried for their safety. Please, don't move your family members here, it will be your biggest regret. Someone needs to take action against these people.

"Rude Staff and Poor Food Demand Relocation from Facility"
Sadly, we had to move my mother from this assisted living home because of unfit behavior and nasty attitudes. The assistant manager really took the cake. Her attitude was terrible. My mom was frustrated with the staff and didn't enjoy the food at all. When I attempted to talk about our issues with her, she merely brushed me off. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. In my book, it gets no stars at all.

"Outdated Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Comfort"
The place needs a makeover – it looks old and not clean. Too pricey, unwelcoming.

"Unprofessional management and neglected facility with poor meals and service"
The bosses here don't act properly. There aren't enough workers for the number of folks living here. The staff don't care enough and aren't paying enough attention. The rooms aren't clean. The meals they serve aren't healthy. The whole place needs a big fix-up!

"Needs Improvement in Service and Facilities"
St. Joseph's Manor could use some work. The staff is friendly, but not as helpful as we would like. My loved one has to ask a few times to get things done. They don't provide free transportation to appointments or errands. They have one driver, and you have to pay to use the service. The maintenance staff has lost my loved one's clothes before, so I usually take them home to wash myself. The meals could also be better.

"Assisted Living Facility Fails to Impress after Director's Departure"
We had no choice but to move here due to family issues. Things started out promising, but once their director left, the quality took a nosedive. We experienced a swift transition from good, to bad, to even worse. The employee turnover rate is incredibly high. Though people described the director as somewhat harsh, it turns out she was the glue holding everything together. Now all we see are bad attitudes, with only a few dedicated workers. We aim to communicate with management about how to improve conditions for our mother, but it should be them asking us. The food is passable but not great. It's a shame because there are good aspects about the place, but they're difficult to see. Our mother is unhappy, and we're planning to leave.

"Great for active seniors, but not for visual impairments"
This place is great for very active seniors. The only reason my mother couldn't stay at St. Joseph was because of her vision problems. She needs more care than other residents. My mother loved the staff she met, especially Susan, and they seemed to like her too. The location in Detroit was perfect.

"Mixed Experience at St. Joseph’s"
He stayed at St. Joseph’s for just one day and became quite unruly. Although we liked the place, it wasn’t a good fit for him due to his combative behavior. The lady in charge was very nice.

The nicest thing about this spot is the owner. She's really kind.

"Dismal, institution-like facility with shared bathrooms, yet high rent."
This place felt very much like an old institution. The people living there looked downright unhappy. The building is bleak and really needs some maintenance. Instead of offering everyone their own apartment, they are given rooms with a bathroom to share. Considering the rent they charged, as much as some Continuing Care Retirement Communities with full apartments, this was really surprising. Even though the staff at the facility seemed super friendly and helpful, in my eyes, this place seemed just like an outdated nursing home.
