Sunrise of Grosse Pointe Woods

"Good care with small improvements needed; food could be better"
Sunrise is a solid choice if you need memory care for a loved one. They do their best to make things as good as possible. The staff is very helpful, professional, and caring, always ready to answer questions or address concerns about your loved one. Communication with the staff is excellent. The care is pretty good overall. There are a few minor things that could be improved for a better experience. But I feel confident that my loved one is safe and well cared for. They handle medication management, bathing, hygiene, and dressing for my loved one The monthly fee covers the apartment, utilities, laundry, linen changes, housekeeping, and all meals The food is okay. My loved one isn’t too fond of it. The community offers various activities like music, sing-alongs, movement exercises, painting, short walks outside, and more for residents to enjoy.

"Newer Sunrise Community Impresses with Modern Design"
We visited a couple of Sunrise communities nearby. This one is newer. During our virtual tour, it seemed like a really nice place, more modern. I liked the designs and everything they had there. Both Sunrises were quite similar, and we liked them both. This one was just the updated version.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
It costs a lot, but the care isn't great. My mom's stuck in a small room, and they accidentally hurt her. The place is nice, though.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Community"
The place is nice, and most of the staff are friendly. But some aren't. I thought it would be better. If you can pay for it, it's worth considering.

"Mixed Experience"
Sunrise worked well for my Mom. The staff was amazing, guiding us throughout. Sadly, the cost was steep. I do miss having my Mom there.

"Expensive, understaffed care; advised to visit before deciding"
I was really dissatisfied with how they took care of my dad at this place. The cost was high and they hardly ever checked up on him. They barely had any contact with him. They are understaffed and desperately need more people working for each resident. Sure they gave meals, but that's about it. I would advise other families to definitely visit this place first and get a feel of how they care for their people and how much it costs.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living with Great Food and Activities"
My mom loves being at Sunrise of Grosse Pointe Woods. The food is really good, and they have lots of fun activities for the older folks, like trips and more. She especially likes the happy hour they have. The place is super clean and feels really cozy and friendly. It's been a really good experience, and I think they're great.

"Nice home with friendly staff, good location, but expensive"
This place seemed well-organized and clean. I didn't see anything wrong. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They offer all the services you need. The location is pretty good, but it's rather expensive.
