"Assisted Living Facility Review: Warm and Helpful for Quick Move-In"
It felt cozy and old-fashioned, perfect for older folks. Mom stayed just a week, so we didn't try activities much. They assisted in every possible way, even setting up her room before we finalized paperwork. This made it easy to move in swiftly after her rehab ended.

"Attractive Assisted Living with Helpful Staff and Pet Therapy Dog"
This place tied for first with the one we picked. The lobby and residents' rooms looked nice. The staff were friendly and willing to help. They had a little bistro where people could get coffee and snacks. Plus, they had a therapy dog for the residents! One downside though: there were 2 floors, so you needed an elevator. They did have a big, open staircase, but that could be risky for people with canes, walkers, or wheelchairs.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Great Food and Helpful Staff"
Sunrise of Northville in Plymouth is a super friendly place. They’ve made my loved one feel comfortable, and I worry less because they’re safe and well cared for. The food gets rave reviews, and the staff is always helpful. The only hiccup is keeping the bathroom clean.

"Sunrise of Northville: A Caring Community"
Our family’s experience has been awesome. Our loved one is happy and feels part of the community. The activities include both in-house fun and field trips. The caregivers are friendly and respectful. I’m really pleased with our decision to move our loved one into Sunrise of Northville.

"Great place, but not right for us"
Sunrise of Northville was really nice and clean. We liked what we saw. But the layout didn't work for us. My loved one had a stroke and had trouble moving around. We needed everything on one level. The lady who showed us around was super nice and told us a lot. If it wasn't for the two stories, we would have chosen this place.

"Good Staff, But Food Needs Improvement for Diabetics"
My biggest issue is the food because they don't prepare anything for diabetic dietary needs. If I eat what they serve, my blood sugar goes way up. I have to make my own food because of this. The community sometimes has sugar-free or reduced-sugar desserts, but they're not always on the menu. The staff and residents are friendly here. The nurses and caregivers are fantastic. The community is good at keeping my medicine organized.

"Terrible Experience at Assisted Living Facility."
I managed to book an appointment for yesterday and even got an email as confirmation. I went at the set time, but the facility staff didn't know anything about my appointment and the person who I was supposed to meet was absent. Instead, I got a quick tour from the activities director. As we moved through, I noticed quite a few helpers loitering in the corridors, playing on their phones, or seemingly just idling about. They took me to look at a dirty room, clearly left by a recent occupant. The room had a bad odor and was in terrible condition. I just couldn't imagine subjecting my parents to such a place.

"Great care for my dad with dementia, clean facility, engaging activities"
My dad had a brain problem and they took good care of him. The place was tidy. The person who helped with family stuff was friendly and nice. They encouraged everyone to participate in the things they did every day, like going on bus rides.

"Dimly Lit Assisted Living, Competitive Pricing, Better Choices Available"
The first thing you notice is how dark it is, like they forgot to turn on the lights or something. The price seems okay, but there are other places that are nicer.

"Mom's Stuff Vanishing In Assisted Living!"
My mom is having a tough time adjusting to this assisted living home. The staff appears nice and somewhat helpful with her needs. However, I've noticed that some of her belongings, especially her jewelry and other personal items, are slowly vanishing, which doesn't sit well with me. That's currently my main issue.

"Care for Parents Needs Was Lacking"
This place let me down. They weren't taking care of my mom properly. I felt like I had to constantly check on my mom to see if she was okay. It wasn't a comfortable spot for my parents and their requirements.

"Clean and friendly, but rooms could be better"
I visited this place while searching for care for a family member. The rooms weren't as fancy as some others we looked at, but overall, the place was clean and tidy. The staff I met were all nice and seemed like they knew what they were doing. We decided to go with a different place, but I would've thought about this one too.

"Sunrise Disappoints, Nursing Home Style Not Expected"
When I first visited Sunrise, I imagined a community setup. A place with personal apartments, engaging activities, a comfy dining area, and social halls. But what I found was more like a nursing home arrangement. I wished for a place where my mom could have her own apartment, perhaps with a mini kitchen that includes a refrigerator and sink. Sunrise was decent on the whole, but it wasn't quite what I had in mind.

"Spoke with Slyvia, Recommends Friendly Assisted Living"
Talked to a staff, who's been in business a long time. She's friendly and recommends calling for a tour. The place is secure, especially for memory loss. Avoid the biggest apartment; it's a homey place with wide aisles. They organize bus trips and monthly mass. Lots of Catholic residents. No skilled nursing, but they'll hand-feed if needed. Staff available 24/7, nurses 8-10 hours, and doctors visit.

"Declining Care for Residents Needing More Assistance"
My dad lived there for over a year. As his health got worse, the care he was given also got worse. If your family member needs more than just someone to watch over them, you should think about another place.
