"Great place with friendly staff but slow response times"
Overall, Sunrise of Rochester is a great place, and the staff is very kind and friendly. The only problem we had was that they didn’t always respond quickly to my mom, especially when she needed help using the restroom. I think this might have been due to staffing issues.

"Lackluster Welcome, Average Care at Assisted Living Facility"
When we moved in, nobody greeted us. Care is fine, but they won't try different methods. They talk well, but don't follow through.

"Excessive Medication and Lost Items at Sunrise Assisted Living"
The main problem we faced when our family member was at Sunrise of Rochester, was that they kept giving our family member 5 times the recommended medicine dose for a long, long time. Our family member lost a lot of things and clothes that were never found. When they got covid, they kept her sleepy to keep her in her room. The normal staff were great but the top bosses were really bad.

"Mixed Experience at Sunrise"
We had a fantastic tour at Sunrise. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. However, the living space was too small for my parents, and the large lobby staircase worried us about my dad’s safety.

"Not Ideal Location"
This place was alright, but I wished the memory care unit was on the ground floor.

"Assisted Living Review: Sunrise Facility Offers Cleanliness, Friendliness, and Visitor-Friendly Atmosphere"
We chose Sunrise because it's clean, staff are friendly, and they offered a budget-friendly promotional price. They welcome visitors, which we like. Our only issue is frequent staff turnover causing delays in meal delivery, sometimes up to 45 minutes to an hour. Overall, I'd recommend it to others.

"Busy Place with Positive Vibes"
Guest parking isn’t great, but the entrance is calm. Everyone is cheerful, and pets roam freely. Busy during lunchtime, but positive vibes everywhere. Memory care has 18 residents, half in wheelchairs. Secure outdoor access. Staff ratio is 6:1. Nurses handle meds and emergencies. Remodel in progress. Move-in fee reduced to $1,000 during renovation. Room prices around $6,400.” Feel free to ask if you need any further assistance! 😊

"Unimpressed by Assisted Living Facility’s Condition and Management"
The place seemed old and set up in a strange way. It looked like things weren’t taken care of very well and the people in charge didn’t have everything under control. In the area where they help folks with memory issues, everyone was crowded together watching the TV. It didn’t feel right for us.

"Satisfactory assisted living, slightly distant."
I went to this community once. It seemed nice enough. The person who showed me around was friendly. It's just a bit farther away than we wanted.

"Mother Thriving in Welcoming, Well-Managed Community"
Since moving here, my mom's doing great. The staff is nice, they've taken good care of her, and the place looks nice. Everything's been smooth, and I'm happy.
