"Disappointing Care at Sunrise of West Bloomfield"
My relative stayed at Sunrise of West Bloomfield. They talked a lot but didn't follow through. We had a meeting about problems we had, but nothing changed. The wait times are too long. No one washed my loved one's hair for two weeks until I did it myself. They also didn't wash their feet. The monthly cost for full care is very high. Overall, the care is unacceptable. They write down what they do, but my relative said it's not all true. I wouldn't recommend this place to family and friends.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Our experience here has been mostly good. The food is decent, with varying quality. Housekeeping is frequent and well-done. Communication with family is good. The staff is generally okay but could use more help. Wait times for assistance can be long. I'd recommend it to others.

"Falls short of expectations; not our ideal choice for family."
The place wasn't as good as the one we chose for our family member. It just wasn't what we wanted.

"Mixed Experience: Good Care, Poor Reimbursement Policy Cautioned"
The care for my brother was good, but their reimbursement policy was awful. My brother passed away months ago, and they still haven't refunded me. I'd recommend them cautiously.

"Great for Active Seniors, Pushy Sales Pitch"
I really liked the facility; it looked very beautiful. All the staff members were wonderful and nice. This place is great for people who are very active and enjoy lots of activities. It's bright, vibrant, and lively here. The only downside is they really pushed their sales pitch. The woman who gave me the tour dressed very provocatively to make her sales pitch. I would recommend this facility, but only for active people.

"Deal Breaker for Dad"
The facility is really nice, but the busy road and no smoking policy were deal breakers for my dad.

"Beautiful Community but Only Offers Independent Living, Not Assisted Living"
The visit was awesome, and the place looked really nice. The workers were super helpful and answered all our questions. We had a good time. The only downside was that they only had independent living, and me and my friend needed assisted living.

"Sunrise's Service: Poor Meals and Dismal Care"
We're completely displeased with sunrise's service. The personnel is utterly rude and unkind. The meals are poor and the care is dismal.

"Sunrise Facility Lacks Tailored, Dependable Care"
In any place that looks after others, like the old, they need to remember that everyone has different needs. There should be enough smart, reliable, and skilled workers at all live-in centers to look after the people living there. The workers need to be able to see what each person needs and take care of it. I didn't see this kind of care at the Sunrise of West Bloomfield, Michigan.

"Mom’s Supportive Care"
Everyone is super friendly. At first, there were some issues with the administration, but they sorted everything out. So far, they’ve been really nice and helpful to my mom—even though she can be a bit challenging. The staff is always pleasant and ready to assist.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Setup, but Distance from Detroit"
I met with the staff and toured the facility. The setup is nice, and the on-site RN seems knowledgeable. The only downside is the distance from Detroit. It might be tough for anyone visiting or for doctors with offices there. The cost is $3,000 per month. .

"Mixed Feelings About Sunrise Assisted Living Experience"
I felt okay about Sunrise but had some unsure moments. Good things were residents seeming happy, even a lady who liked staying in her room. The staff, especially the director and her helper, were friendly. They spent a lot of time explaining the Sunrise way, which was nice. But I'm not so sure about pets being there; my mom isn't a fan, and I'm allergic to cats. Also, it wasn't very clear how they handle toileting and incontinence. The care staff seemed minimal, and I'm not sure how often they check on residents. I only saw them when they passed out meds.

"Convenient Location and Amenities for Light Exercise, but Limited Equipment"
This place is close to our home. It's not too big, and my dad could arrange a ride to the Y. However, they only have basic exercise equipment.
