"Great value and good setup for active seniors"
This is a good place for active seniors. We chose it because it offers great value for the money. I like the apartment setup with a separate bedroom and living room.

"Great care, clean facility, but needs more updates."
The place is really clean, and the staff are nice. They take good care of her and noticed right away when she wasn’t feeling like herself. The doctor ordered an emergency room visit, and it turned out she had RSV. They always keep me informed, which I really appreciate. I would like to get more updates from both doctors and staff without having to ask for them.

Our family is happy with The Bellaire and the care our mother gets there. We chose it for the memory care unit and security.

"Great Assisted Living with Friendly Staff and Flexible Meal Options"
We’ve been really happy with our experience here. My loved one seems to be enjoying it. I would definitely recommend this community to others for their family members. It's a smaller place, and everyone is very friendly. The staff are helpful and ready to work with the family to solve any issues if needed. My loved one thinks the meals are good. They serve the main meal at noon, which is the biggest meal of the day, and a lighter supper later. There’s a monthly menu for residents to look at, and they can choose something else if they don’t like what’s on the menu for that day. Whenever my loved one has asked for a different meal or side dish, the community has been happy to help. There are different levels of care you can pay for. They can help with medications, bathing, and housekeeping once a week. They also offer laundry service for an extra fee. If your loved one needs more care, that’s available too, but it costs more. The community will assess your loved one before they move in.

"Abysmal Tour and Unfriendly Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
The tour I got of the facility when I visited wasn't all that good. The workers seemed rather mean. I'm being nice by giving only one star.

"Avoid This Place: They Ignore Complaints and Neglect Residents"
At first, they seem cool and skilled. But when you speak up about a problem, they're like, 'Don't like it? Move your folks.' I wouldn't tell anyone who really cares about their family to put them here. They won't get the care they need. They don’t even hire people who know what they're doing.

"Mixed Experience at Bellaire Assisted Living Facility"
Mom initially received good care at Bellaire. However, recent staffing cuts caused issues. The building’s doctor also had shortcomings. Food quality and fees were concerns. Ultimately, we found better care elsewhere.

"Memory Care Section Small, Costs a Concern, Clean Facility"
The facility was tidy, but the memory care area felt cramped without a communal space for socializing. Additionally, my dad finds the cost for my mom's required care uncomfortable. He's deciding between her constant presence or the necessary expense.

"Memory care lacking community space, cost concerns for care level."
The place was tidy, but the part for people with memory issues was tiny. They didn't have a good spot for those folks to hang out and chat. Plus, my dad thinks the price for the care my mom needs is too high. He's torn between dealing with her all day or shelling out the cash to look after her.

"Not Ideal: Assisted Living Facility Review"
Glade air fresheners were plugged in the halls, but they didn't smell pleasant. There was no life alert system, and I noticed that the two units I saw lacked tub cutouts. The room air conditioners were mounted high on the wall, making them hard to reach. Calling the front desk to adjust the temperature wasn't a practical solution. During my tour, I didn't see any residents in the common areas. The neighborhood felt industrial and unpleasant. Overall, the price was reasonable.

"Unpleasant Odors and Disappointing Food at Assisted Living Facility"
The shared spaces seem okay... The studio apartment they showed me smelled strongly of stale pee... It hits you the moment you open the door... It felt like a cheap, low-rate hotel room... The other apartment I looked at also had a bad smell... The stoves are not functional but still there in the rooms... residents are not allowed to cook in the room, except with a toaster, coffee pot, or maybe a microwave. They push the seniors to go downstairs for their meals... For breakfast, they serve hard-boiled eggs, toast, muffins, coffee, and tea... My mom loves food and this doesn't cut it... They only serve fancy breakfast once a month... Otherwise, the food here reminds me of the stuff they serve in hospitals.

"Great Place for Mom!"
My mom loves it here. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and nice. They were really good during the hurricane, keeping everyone safe and calm. The place is always clean, but it got flooded during the storm. It will take a couple of months to fix it, so mom had to find somewhere else to stay for now. The food is always yummy. Mom can't wait to come back when it's fixed!

""Unpleasant Odor but Staff Member Was Friendly""
When I toured the place before, I visited the secured floor. As soon as the door opened, there was a strong smell of urine. I was definitely not impressed. However, the woman I spoke with was very pleasant.

"Great Assisted Living for Seniors in Riverview"
My sister and I visited Bellaire in Riverview, Michigan, to check out the apartments for our mom. We were really impressed and suggested it to her. Unfortunately, Mom isn’t ready to leave her home yet, but we hope Bellaire will have a spot for her when she is. The cost, friendly staff, activities, dining services, and care exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

"Great place for rehab care"
My dad stayed at this place for their rehab program. He had a really nice experience and they took great care of him. He really liked it here, and I was very happy too. The rehab was excellent. I would recommend this facility for their rehab program; it was a very good experience.

"Medicaid waiver + locked units + private bedrooms"
The Bellaire is one of the few places that's not a nursing home. They have a locked care unit for dementia patients and accept Medicaid waivers, which is HUGE! Without them, my mom would have been in a nursing home with 2 or 3 people per hospital-style room. Thanks to Bellaire, we could give her 24-hour care in a locked wing with her own bedroom, using the Medicaid waiver (which is amazing if you qualify). I can confidently say this is one of the best options in Metro Detroit for this type of care. Thank you, Bellaire.

"Great Place for Dad"
Our dad was at Bellaire for less than two months before he passed away. At 95, it was hard for him to leave his home, but the staff did everything they could to make the transition easier. His room was very comfortable—a one-bedroom apartment instead of just a bed in a room. We brought in his furniture and hung family pictures on the walls to make it feel more like home and help with his memory issues. He enjoyed eating in the dining room with his "buddies" and sitting with others in the family room. The staff at Bellaire and his care team from Generations were great. Plus, the cost for his full care package was less than other places we looked at. We feel blessed they had a room for Dad when we needed one. If we ever need a place again, we would choose Bellaire.

"There was minimal interaction; not very social."
I visited this place when I was exploring my options. There wasn't much talking or socializing. The building was old, and the rooms hadn't been updated. It felt dark, and people can't feel well or happy in the dark. They didn't engage in activities. Overall, it wasn't suitable for my mother.

"Extremely Friendly and Accommodating, Mom is Happy Here"
They were super friendly and gave us everything we needed, including a nice guided tour, and they got us settled right away. They offer three good meals a day, and if she wants more, she just has to ask. She loves having a place to get her hair done, and if she wants to change any of the services, they are very accommodating. Mom is very happy at The Bellaire, and we really appreciate them.

"Mixed Feelings: Pleasing Environment but Room for Improvement"
My family member likes it and that makes me happy too. The food's alright – sometimes tasty, sometimes not so much. Plenty of parking for visitors. They have a game, but my family member isn't into it. They could spice things up with more activities.

"Beautiful, Clean, and Friendly Place"
It was a beautiful place. Really nice and huge! Super clean, and the staff was friendly. It's all independent living, and they don't take Medicaid. It was a bit more expensive than we expected.

"Unavailable options and felt more like a sales pitch"
Not many options and it's not move-in ready. The only one-bed apartment free is in a locked area. The next one that might open up is higher up. Might meet more folks she probably knows already. The representative seemed like they were just trying to make a sale and spoke to us more than D. The tour felt hurried and seemed more like they were just trying to sell to us.

"Too Expensive. Only Continental Breakfast"
It costs too much. They only serve continental breakfast. The place is clean, but the rooms look old, and there's a broken stove still in the apartment. However, it's secure, and there's one bedroom.
