The Haworth Center

"Safe but could improve outdoor activities and meal portions"
I thought The Haworth Center was a safe spot for my friend. They could use more fun outdoor activities, like gardening or walking around the yard. Also, bigger meals or seconds would be great.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Care Responsibilities"
My family member needs a lot of help, but this place isn't cutting it. I constantly have to remind them to do things. Plus, many of his clothes have disappeared, and he ends up with other people's stuff even though we labeled everything like they asked. I don't think this is the right place for long-term care.

"Care Quality Falls Short at Appealing Facility"
This place might seem warm and welcoming for your family member, but it’s better to consider other options. Sure, many people mention the staff’s friendliness, and they’re not wrong. But what’s missing from those reviews is a mention of the care team’s lack of skill. Our family felt let down by the care given to our mom. It seems they don’t choose the most qualified caregivers. Also, make sure to read the fine print. They keep charging for the room for two weeks after your family member has passed away, even if you’ve taken out all their stuff. Our tip: search for reviews that really praise the care team.

"Disappointing Visit to Unattractive, Overly Restricted Elderly Care Home"
Upon arriving at the elderly care home, it looked really unattractive and I hoped the inside would be better, but it wasn't. As soon as I stepped inside, a harsh urine smell hit me and I saw that the residents hanging around were still in their nighttime clothes. The person showing me around claimed that they usually have lovely decorations but apparently, one resident tends to take them away. The bedrooms were too tiny and two people had to share each one. Plus, you can only use the furniture they give you. The place is always locked up so no one can enter or leave; I get that's necessary for folks with memory problems but think it's too much for others. My visit there was far from satisfactory.

"“Activities Keep Residents Busy in Good Community”"
This place is nice, and I’m happy my brother is here. But, like everywhere, they’re having some problems with staffing. They offer fun activities like crafts, movies, puzzles, and board games to keep the residents busy.

"Review: Friendly Staff, Informative Tour, Focus on Memory Care"
We took a virtual tour of this community, and it was pleasant. The staff was kind and gave us plenty of information. The tour itself was enjoyable, but we were seeking a smaller community with a strong focus on memory care.
