"Caring staff made a hard decision easier for our family"
We recently had our uncle in this home. Sadly, he has passed, but we want to thank the caregivers for the great care they gave him. Choosing to place our uncle in a home was really tough, but we’re glad we made the right choice. The caregivers were warm and compassionate, not just to our uncle but to our whole family. The home had a real family feel, and they kept us updated on any changes with our uncle. He was always clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The home itself was always in good shape, and they took his likes and dislikes seriously. When we moved him in, they sat with my mom to learn what he liked to eat, drink, and do. They listened to all her concerns and even had suggestions to make his stay more comfortable. Every time we visited, we were treated with kindness and saw that the caregivers treated everyone with respect.

"Great Care at Walnut Creek Thanks to Honest and Helpful Owner"
I've checked out a lot of places and ended up at Walnut Creek. The owner, [Name removed], was really honest and clear about everything. He even handled all the tricky pre-admission stuff during the tough COVID times, which made everything so much easier for me. My mom is now in a great place, getting the excellent care she deserves. I'm really grateful to Place for Mom for helping me find Walnut Creek Living!

"Facility's Poor Service and Care Leave Families Disillusioned"
My grandma stayed here for a quarter year after she couldn't live alone in her senior flat. They'll feed you a bunch of stories and appear super sympathetic and supportive, only until you've moved your loved one in. The nonsense they dish out about home cooked meals? Lunch is a can of soup and a slice of bread. Dinner is often just pasta or rice with sauce, but no meat. As for personalized snacks? They made us supply anything specific my grandma craved - and then they didn't even give it to her most times! They upped the price after we'd already moved my grandma in and made the initial payment! About their 'round the clock help? They have this one lady who lives on site with her family in the basement, tucks the residents in at like 6:30, and then leaves them all through the night. The number of people who passed away in those three months was shocking. We barely got to learn their names because of their high turnover. My grandma didn't fuss a lot but they consistently accused her of lying or being "mixed-up". Believe me, my grandma was as sharp as a tack and didn't suffer from dementia. We were thinking of moving her again - a tough task for the elderly when she started deteriorating quickly and it was winter so we were uncertain about the right course of action. Sadly, she passed away. My grandma was 97 and she lived a long, fulfilling life, but looking back, I think she didn't receive the high-quality care they pledged. We can't do anything now - I just wish someone had warned us about all this.

"Shoddy Care Home: False Promises and Lousy Service"
This place is a total disaster. Here's why: 1. They promise things they don't give. 2. They hardly have any staff. There's just one caregiver per six old ladies, lots of whom need more help. Like, one even fell from her wheelchair! The caregivers do long shifts hopping between two places. Just so we're clear, they don't actually live there. The ones who do pictures overnight dwell in the basement. 3. They claim to serve fresh food, but all we get is frozen stuff. On the off chance dinner is fresh, they stretch it till it lasts. 4. There's only one TV which is usually ruled by a specific resident. 5. They say they wash everyone's clothes separately, but they mix them all up. My mom lost some pricey sweaters and a couple were ruined. 6. There are really no fun activities. Zero interaction or effort. 7. They advertise a hairstylist—some lady who had the audacity to charge $40 and ruined my mom's hairdo. Honestly, I could go on and on, but it's not worth my time.
