"Assisted Living Review: Waltonwood Improvements Delight Residents and Families"
Waltonwood is a nice place. My mom took a while to realize she needed to be there. Dad got used to it quickly. He walks daily, greets staff with hugs and fist bumps. Staff always helps with whatever they need. Food and wait staff have improved recently. We've had dinner with my parents and found the food tasty, staff polite and efficient, and residents friendly. A gentleman and senior lady introduced themselves as senior ambassadors.

"Mixed Experience at Waltonwood Assisted Living Facility"
Locked doors without a code can be a hassle. Sometimes no one is at the door. Laundry is slow, bathrooms unclean, floors not vacuumed enough. Staff mostly friendly, but some pushy, especially about masks. Medication not always on time. Most staff helpful, especially with loved ones. Kitchen staff inefficient; meals not appetizing. Loved ones eat 4 of 21 meals in dining room, yet charged to join. Affordable compared to other places. Confident my loved ones are cared for and safe. Good communication and willingness to improve. Response time good when needed. Improvements needed: safer door policy, longer office hours. Dining staff need better training. Recommended Waltonwood despite shortcomings. Most issues due to staff shortages. Waltonwood welcomed loved one with open arms despite care needs. Health improved greatly since being there.

"Spacious Living and Convenient Location at Waltonwood Main"
We chose Waltonwood Main because it's close by, had no bad reviews, and offered the most space for my parents. Their apartment is about 900 square feet, larger than many others we considered. I would recommend it to others looking for similar accommodations.

"Mixed staff, good food, recommend."
Some staff were very good, but some were not. Our loved one's room was adequate, and the food was about four out of five. We would recommend this community to others.

"Not worth the money."
We thought this place cared more about money than residents. The staff was friendly but inconsistent. Not worth it.

"Over-medication and Inadequate Care at Assisted Facility"
The people living in this facility's memory care unit seem to be over-drugged and lone. My aunt's meds went up, from just two to a shocking dozen. Additionally, she's fallen and gotten hurt six times this year. Her room has a bug problem that the staff knows about, but they're really slow to fix it. I'd suggest looking for a better care option somewhere else.

"Beautiful Exteriors Mask Staffing Problems in Assisted Living Facility"
My family member stayed at this residence. Initially, it was all good, but the management swaps around constantly. The caregivers are underpaid and there's a high staff turnover rate. They generally work with about half the number of caregivers than what we were promised when we first moved in. Caregivers are regularly made to work back-to-back shifts or even six to seven days a week. This is particularly troublesome in the memory care area where residents don't have the ability to speak out for themselves. Although many staff members truly care, there just aren't enough hands to provide the necessary care. Management never steps in to help, even when understaffed... this is particularly a problem on weekends. The place may look luxurious, DON'T BE DECEIVED by its appearance!

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility Atmosphere"
During our search for my loved one's new home, we visited this community. It appeared pleasant, and the staff were friendly. However, it lacked the cozy feel we were seeking, resembling a hospital with its sterile environment. We were hoping for a more homelike atmosphere.

"Nice Looking but Sterile Assisted Living Facility"
We visited this place when we were searching for a good spot for my family member. It looked nice, and the people who worked there were really nice too. But it didn't feel cozy like a home. It felt too much like a hospital, very clean and not cozy.

"Bright and welcoming, but some residents appeared asleep in wheelchairs."
This place was really nice and happy. Some people were sleeping in wheelchairs near the front desk, like in a nursing home. The person who helps with leasing knew a lot and was friendly. They really wanted to learn about my dad.
