"Mixed Experience with Staff Changes but Recommended Overall"
The staff changes a lot, making consistency hard. Some are better. Housekeeping is okay. Communication with family was tough due to staff changes. After many complaints, they now keep updates any staff can check. Not sure why it took so many tries. Food is good. Move-in process was great and helpful. They should keep patient files accessible to all staff, not just 'not on duty' responses. Overall, I'd recommend this facility.

"Great Food, Needs Better Timing and Communication"
The meals are really good and tasty with lots of choices, but by the time they get to her room, they’re often cold. It would be nice if they delivered them on time so they’d still be hot. The activities program has many options, and my mom likes to join in some of them. Sometimes, there’s a lack of communication with the medical techs and other staff, which can cause delays and make it hard to get information to the family. Overall, it’s a good facility, and we’re happy with what they offer.

"Mixed feelings about apartment size at Waltonwood Royal Oak tour."
Our visit to Waltonwood Royal Oak went well. My mom cared a lot about the apartment size, but she didn't like how small it was there.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Promises"
This place might suit someone who needs just a little help. I liked the weekly activities and the food was good. Some staff were really good at their jobs, but most weren't. When my mom needed help, it took too long for anyone to respond. Some caregivers didn't seem to know what they were doing. Luckily, my mom could speak up about the problems. Overall, they didn't deliver the service they promised when she moved in. We had lots of meetings to fix the response issues, but they weren't fixed before she passed away.

"Good care but parking and size issues"
The care at this place is really good. The staff seems well-trained and I never noticed any dirt or bad smells; everything is very clean. They have a basic fee but add extra charges for nursing care. They checked on my relative often, but she couldn’t use the call button. The parking situation is a major issue because there’s not enough of it, and finding a spot can be very hard at certain times. Overall, it felt too big and too busy for us.

"Good care, but parking is an issue"
They provide good care, and their staff is well-trained. The place is always clean—I never saw any dirt or smelled anything bad. They charge a base fee, but nursing care is extra. They checked on her often, but I don't think she could use the call button. Parking is definitely an issue; it can be hard to find a spot at certain times. The facility was too big and busy for us, though.
