"Friendly Staff, Clean Facilities, Quick Maintenance, and Fun Entertainment"

There's always someone at the front desk when I sign in to visit. The lobby, dining room, and bathrooms are always clean. The staff is friendly and communicates well. Maintenance problems get fixed quickly. They have good entertainment each week. I also like the daily "check-in" service they provide.

"Tour during construction, limited view, caused confusion, 2 stars."

Our family visited Waltonwood Twelve Oaks in person, but we only gave them 2 stars because they were still building in the independent living area. We couldn't see much of the facility, and it was confusing.

"Mixed Feelings About Size: Nice Tour, Bit Large for Loved One"

The tour at Waltonwood Twelve Oaks was pleasant. It felt a bit too crowded for my loved one.

"Wonderful caregivers make up for financial frustrations"

The caregivers here are truly amazing! Dealing with the money part can be a bit annoying sometimes. But the great care from the staff is the most important thing.

"Great Staff and Amenities, But Slow to Fix Problems"

Currently, I'm struggling with big problems in my apartment and I have to beg for help many times before they answer or do anything. That's why they're getting just 1 star from me at the moment. They really need to do better on answering faster. However, the place is super clean. The staff is really nice. The food is usually hot and there's plenty of fun activities to do.

"Assisted Living Community Needs Improvement"

I didn't think the place was taking good care of my family member. A lot of people keep leaving, even the bosses. They even lost my family member's clothes once.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

Many problems have persisted for months without resolution. However, the staff is kind to the residents.

"Moved Loved One Due to Management and Refund Issues"

The living facility is decent, but the top bosses switch a lot. I chose to shift my dear one to a group home because the care there was much better and the price was lower. Up to now, I haven't gotten a refund for the unused meals and medicines. It should be a big check, but it hasn't arrived. Plus, I got locked out of my online account, so I can't check there. A couple of similar issues have popped up this past year.

"Friendly Staff and Safe Environment"

The community is nice, and they clearly know about senior living. Everything is set up for a safe and happy lifestyle, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

"Disappointing facility with disengaged staff and weak communication"

The staff at this place hardly talks to families. Their work is uninterested and disconnected. Got my family member out immediately.

"Don't Put Loved Ones in This Place"

The help given to our elderly here is really terrible.

"Beautiful but not practical for memory care, lacking homely feel."

I went to see Waltonwood. It looked really nice. It would have been perfect if my mom needed just a little help, but since she needs memory care, it didn’t seem right for the price. It felt fancy, but my dad wanted my mom to feel more at home, so we chose a cozier place.

"Great Place but Pricey!"

This place is really nice and super clean. They updated the building with cool stuff for the people who live there. The folks who showed us around were awesome and told us everything about the place. But, it cost way too much for my family to pay for.

"Money-Minded Waltonwood: A Less Than Honest Facility"

My dad moved into Waltonwood's memory care facility in December of 2012. In just two years, the facility has seen at least three new directors, three different social directors, and two different wellness coordinators. The staff seems to change every week. My experience with Waltonwood's charging system started with basic rent, medication, and care level fees. But they kept finding ways to pile on extra charges by upping the level of care and the rent. For example, they set the moving-in rent at $5,345, medication at $240, and level of care at $365, summing up to $5,950 per month. Then, from the start of December in 2014, the monthly rent rose to $5726, medication cost increased to $275, and the care level 3 fee rose to a whopping $1295, bringing about a total of $7296 per month. Once you're using their services, they start increasing rates depending on their "evaluation" of care level, which they have total power over. Even though my dad was needing less care, not more, they insisted on hiking up the fees. The same thing happened with the rent, even though they didn't provide any extra services or amenities. Even after my dad sadly passed away two years later, they charged me for an extra two days of rent, even though the room was cleaned and vacant and they had promised otherwise. When I tried tackling this issue with their bookkeeping department, I was nonchalantly told that I will have to pay these charges following a discussion with their Executive Director. While there are some great caregivers here, I found the management rather dishonest and not upfront. I wouldn't recommend Waltonwood to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones due to these episodes. Their main motivation, in my observation, seems to be making money.

"Waltonwood: Safe, Supportive Independent Living"

My mom lives at Waltonwood in Independent Living. It's been 2 months, and she's still getting used to it. She moved from her own home after 62 years. Her apartment is tidy, bright, and the staff is friendly and supportive. The environment feels very safe

"Abysmal Tour Experience at Waltonwoods Assisted Living Facility"

My family and I visited Waltonwoods, seeking a place for our mom. Having made an appointment beforehand, it was surprising that we were asked to wait in a conference room. The wait went on for way too long before our marketing tour guide came. She hurriedly asked us some questions, not bothering to get mom's basic details like her name, address or phone number. Our tour was rushed, super fast, snapping through the dining area, the library, and mentioning activities in passing. A quick glance at a one-bedroom layout was shown, and throughout it was palpable that she couldn't wait to usher us out of the door. After a fleeting tour, we were returned to the conference room. It was evident that the rep was close to exiting as she leaned by the door, tossed out a casual "you guys have my number if you want to call", and promptly disappeared. We were left baffled and quite literally shown the door. If this is a glimpse into the Waltonwoods treatment, I definitely wouldn't want my mom staying there! WORST. TOUR. EVER!

"Disappointing Tour Experience"

The place looks nice, but the people there didn't seem friendly. When we went for a tour, they rushed us and left us alone in a room without asking for our names or contact info. It didn't make me feel good. I wonder if Mom would like living there.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

The boss was nice but hurried during our visit. They didn't seem very interested in our situation. I liked that it's near a mall and they say they often take residents there, which Mom still enjoys. But I'm not sure how often she'll get to go since she doesn't speak up. The staff didn't help her with the spa tube and were just hanging out together while residents were elsewhere. However, it was clean, spacious, and smelled nice, which I appreciate. I'd be okay visiting because there seem to be private areas to go besides the rooms. I didn't like that they don't allow adjustable beds with rails, which I wanted to bring from Mom's house.
