"Caring staff and great emergency system at Brookdale West St. Paul"
One reason we chose Brookdale West St. Paul is they have a pendant emergency call button system that some other places didn’t. The staff are friendly and attentive. I feel like they care about my loved one and his needs. They have lots of activities. I wish they would encourage him to join more. But we’ve been really happy there same as him.

"Caring Community with Room for Improvement"
They looked after my family member and communicated effectively. However, they could enhance the activities. Overall, it's a great place.

"Lacks promised care; staff bossy and unengaged."
They should improve staff communication and follow through on promises. Be more proactive in caring for our loved ones. Their claims of spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being aren't accurate. Staff training needed; they can be bossy and sassy.

"Struggles with Care and Staffing"
They couldn't take care of my husband properly. If you're healthy, it's okay. But if you need more help, this isn't the right place. They're short-staffed, which makes things tough.

"Brookdale: Overworked Staff, Limited Activities, Questionable Meals"
Despite a handful of commendable staff at Brookdale, they are constantly exhausted due to their intense schedules, especially during evenings and weekends. There's a deep sense of isolation for the people living there as there aren't many activities happening. The assisted living block is sparsely filled. The food quality is inconsistent, with lunch being the only satisfying meal while breakfast and dinner leave a lot to be desired. Evening employees have to juggle multiple duties like preparing and serving dinner, cleaning the dining space and kitchen, then administering medications before tucking the residents in for the night. Despite being a profit-based establishment, Brookdale tends to nickel-and-dime its residents indiscriminately.

"Former resident for three years"
Mom lived there 3 years, improving with activities and staff. Increased care provided despite cost. Safety concerns addressed. Cats allowed, comforting for Mom.

"Billing Issue Mars Overall Positive Experience at Brookdale Assisted Living"
I'm not quite sure how to describe Brookdale. Taking care of my mom has been good, and we're happy about that. But we had a problem with the bill. My sister paid with a check last month at the front desk, but they still charged us $250 for being late because it didn't get to the payment center on time. We're really disappointed about that. But besides that, Mom seems happy, and I feel okay about the care she's getting.

"Great respite stay with amazing staff"
The staff at Brookdale were amazing and went above and beyond. Mom had a great respite stay. She liked the food and they had some activities. The community is clean, small, and feels like home. It was just a bit too far for us for Mom to stay here long-term. I would recommend this community.

"Safe and Friendly Assisted Living with Great Care"
My mom's doing well here. People are nice, staff's helpful. They're pros with Alzheimer's care. Place looks good, room's nice. She's trying activities. Food's good, balanced. I feel she's safe and cared for. I'd suggest this place.

"Cozy Assisted Living with Responsive Staff and Minor Cleaning Issues"
I really liked how cozy it was and that they let us use motion monitors. I even saw someone rush to help when a monitor went off. The dining room floors were a bit sticky, but besides that, it's my favorite place I've seen yet.

"Clean and friendly facility, but chose another option for loved one."
I checked out this place while searching for care for someone special to me. The place was neat and tidy, and all the people I met who work there were nice and seemed like they knew what they were doing. In the end, we picked a different place, but this one could have been a choice too!

"The staff is nice but the food is not good"
The staff is super friendly, but the food isn't great. We pay a lot, and the menu needs improvement. The cookies were burnt, which isn't healthy. French fries weren't cooked properly either. They should fix the menu to avoid repeated meals.

"Amazing Care at Clare Bridge"
The nurse at Clare Bridge of West St. Paul is amazing. She goes out of her way to ensure everyone is well taken care of and has what they need. We've had some issues with laundry mix-ups and missing clothes. Recently, we discovered mice, but we hope they'll address it soon. The rooms are lovely, with large windows.

"Disappointing experience, not suited for high-needs memory care residents"
Our experience with Clare Bridge was not pleasant at all. The place looked great on our initial tour and the staff was friendly. We thought they could deliver the kind of care our family members required. But though Clare Bridge is a memory care facility, it seemed they could only support residents with minimal memory care needs. Our loved ones needed an intense level of help, something they weren't equipped to provide. They even requested that our family members help in the evenings as their two workers couldn't handle him alone, in addition to their other residents. On top of this, we experienced difficulties with the billing process. After relocating our loved one to a more suitable facility just two weeks in, we were promised a partial refund of the hefty initial fee we had paid. However, it has been more than a month and we haven't received the refund. Rather, they continue to send us bills claiming we owe them money. It's a total letdown because the two ladies who run Clare Bridge are pleasant and the facility, on the surface, looked perfect. I am unable to recommend this place to any family with loved ones who need more than just basic levels of care.

"Decent facility, but helpless in odd situations"
Everything was mostly fine, except they rang me one Sunday saying my Dad was being difficult because he refused to use the restroom. They suggested we take him to the emergency room as they were clueless on handling the situation.

"Assisted living area feels cramped"
My thoughts about Eastcastle Place are a bit mixed. The building looks nice and tidy, but the assisted living area feels quite cramped. There aren't many other people around to help, which makes me uncertain if it's the right place for my loved one in the long run.

"Unengaged residents seem over-medicated at assisted living facility"
It looks like the folks living in the nursing home and assisted living were always just sitting in chairs in the main area. They seemed kind of drugged up and weren't talking at all with the workers.
