"Caring Staff and Great Rooms in One-Level Community"
I like that the community is all on one level, so there are no elevators. The food isn't amazing, but the community is really nice, and the rooms are great. My mom has a one-bedroom unit that works well for her. The staff is good and genuinely cares about the residents.

"Blaine Edgewood: Overpriced, Short-Staffed, Poorly Run Facility?"
My family member stayed at Blaine Edgewood a year ago, and we found that the promises made to us did not match the reality of their care. We're seriously skeptical about the current executive director's ability to effectively run this facility. Our first sign of trouble was seeing many excellent directors, who seemed really good at their jobs, suddenly leave. We suspect they knew of some worrying issues and decided to exit. The people who initially replaced them have also moved on. Blaine struggles with a steady flow of staff quitting, they're constantly understaffed and their organization is a mess. The evening and weekend staff seem to do as they please. We wouldn't suggest anyone place their family here. The price is too high for the subpar services provided — understaffed, poorly managed, mediocre food, unexciting activities, and cleaning standards that are suspect at best.

Disappointed Daughter
"Mixed feelings about Edgewood of Blaine"
My mom stayed in the Memory care unit for 2 1/2 years, and we initially loved it. However, over time, some key staff members left, and their replacements were just okay. Except for one standout employee, who really shouldn't be in her position. Because of these changes, the place lost its exceptional standard, which was hard for us to see. We hope they can hire quality people again and make it great like it used to be. Many others share our concerns, but we chose to keep an eye on mom by visiting frequently, rather than moving her, which would be tough on her. It's tough to write this, but honesty is important.

"Headline: "Edgewood's Assisted Living: High Cost, Low Care.""
Edgewood's Assisted Living Facility fails to meet expectations. We were told many things that turned out to be untrue after we moved in. They never have enough staff members and there was a big change in management in 2019. I don't think they care about the residents or the staff. The rooms aren't cleaned thoroughly and the nursing staff is overwhelmed. Residents are often left waiting for help. The food, particularly in memory care, is not good and the price is higher than anticipated. Despite the promises, they offer very little and you wouldn't realize it during your tour. In the evenings, there's usually only one nursing assistant on duty and management doesn’t follow through on addressing any care needs or concerns. Save yourself time and don't even bother touring. They make it seem like a nice place, but it's not.

"Assisted Living Needs More Care and Cleaning"
I think the cleaning is just okay. Some of the housekeepers are really nice. Yet, the apartment where our family member stays could be cleaner for sure. I noticed a couple of really outstanding caregivers, but the ones who don't show strong work values really let the place down. The leadership team could get better by stepping up their care and paying more attention to the people living there and the staff. Make sure you check into the place you pick before deciding on this one...

"Options for Dad"
I visited this place to check it out for my dad’s needs. The staff was friendly and answered our questions. Although the tour was helpful, it didn’t quite match what we were seeking. Families should explore it independently to decide if it fits their requirements. .

"Friendly Staff and Nice Community"
I really liked the staff at this assisted living facility. They were super friendly and helped families with any questions I had about special care needs. They even offered us a meal, but we politely declined. If activities had been offered, I would recommend families check out this nice community to see if it's what they're looking for.

"Memory care facility review"
I believe this facility is nice, and the staff genuinely care for and know the residents. They have activities for the memory care community, and reminiscence stations are scattered around the area. Some are themed for boys, like cars or fishing. All apartments have shadow boxes outside. However, the food is bland and limited, especially in memory care. While high-functioning memory care residents can attend events in the assisted care area, there are no external events. The place is well-run but has small studio rooms and lacks snacks beyond the 2 pm offering. A bit rigid overall.

"Friendly Staff!"
My mom likes the food, and there are no problems. The staff talks nicely and is friendly. I’d tell my friends and family about this place. I think they take good care of my loved one. They encourage her to join activities at her own pace, and she’s starting to get involved.

"Attentive Staff but Lacks Door Alarms at Edgewood Senior Living"
At Edgewood Senior Living, the workers are really into their jobs, even those who aren't looking after my mom. One thing I noticed is they don't have alarms on the doors in the assisted living area. That means a door could be open all night, and they wouldn't even realize it. Apart from that, everything has been pretty decent so far.

"Friendly Staff, Attentive Care, and Great Food"
I really like how friendly the staff is. They are wonderful and always pay close attention to my mother's needs. They make an effort to understand each person’s abilities and needs, working with them closely. The staff is always present, kind, and friendly. They greet me when I visit and help with any issues quickly. They also fix maintenance problems fast. The food is very good here.

"Great job with staff, cleanliness, and affordable pricing."
They’re doing a great job. The staff is wonderful and always takes time to chat with residents. The place is very clean and affordable. Their pricing structure is clear, so you don’t face big jumps in costs as care levels increase. The coffee was too hot, and my loved one burned their fingers, but the staff didn’t notice, and I don’t think my loved one mentioned it. They offer good activities, and the food is decent for a smaller place. I liked that it’s brand new and that all the residents are new, which helps everyone get to know each other.
