"Diabetic Care Concerns"
Before choosing this assisted living facility, make sure they keep their promises. I explained that our family member is a critical diabetic, and they assured us they could handle it. However, after moving in, we discovered they don't adjust insulin doses or prepare special meals for diabetics. The RN didn't follow through, so I had to take our family member to the doctor myself. Thankfully, the new LPN is more reliable. Our family member enjoys the food variety, but they need to improve diabetic friendly options.

"Struggles with Communication and Staff Turnover in Assisted Living"
My relative stays here. It's hard to get someone on the phone. Staff isn't too friendly, especially the nurse. They struggle to keep workers. Better pay might help. Clothes have gone missing. They clean weekly, but I have to remind them to dust and vacuum.

My relative stays in this assisted living facility. Whenever I try to call, I need to ring them a few times before I get any answer. Most of the staff, especially the nurse, doesn't seem too friendly and acts as if they're annoyed by my queries. I've also noticed a high turnover rate among the workers here. I believe providing better pay could encourage employees to stay longer. There have been instances when my mom lost some of her clothes. They claim to clean the rooms every week, but I often need to remind them to dust and vacuum my mom's room.

"Avoid! Facility Takes Money through Misleading Practices"
Caution to all prospective clients! This company rushes you to sign documents, making promises they don't intend to keep. They told me we'd get our $1,000 deposit refunded if we didn't choose their facility. They convinced me to pay this deposit just to have a nurse assess my parents. I unknowingly committed to an apartment before finding out if they would even accept my parents who both have memory problems. I clearly mentioned that memory care was out of question as splitting them after 53 years of marriage wasn't ideal for us. But now, their answer has changed to a 'no.' They pocketed an easy $1,000 off my unsuspecting parents through dishonesty. Worryingly, we never even had the evaluation and my parents never saw the facility, but the money is already gone. I fear others may fall prey to this, without fully understanding the circumstances. Losing $1,000 is a big blow for my parents. I sincerely hope the company decides to make things right and returns the money.

"Deceptive Tactics from Assisted Living Facility Lead to Money Loss"
Watch out for this place. They're fast to get you confused and pressure you into signing forms. They happened to mention that we could get our $1000 deposit back if we chose not to move in. They told me I had to drop that deposit just so a nurse could evaluate my parents. But I had no idea I was already signing up for an apartment, without even knowing if both my folks would be accepted because of their memory issues. I was clear that we weren't interested in memory care because we didn't want to separate them after 53 years of marriage. But now, they're backtracking. They've essentially taken $1000 off my parents through their misleading approach. I didn't even get an evaluation done and yet, my parents have never visited the facility and our money's gone. I'm worried others might also be fooled, without fully understanding what's happening. Losing $1000 is a big deal for them. I can only hope they decide to do right by my parents and give us back our money.

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Outings and Personalized Care"
It's really comfy here. Dad's happy in his pond-view apartment. They clean and do laundry weekly. A small hiccup at move-in, but PT, OT, and male helper are great. Dad loves the food, now they serve his favorites. Staff is friendly and engaging. Highly recommend!

"Comfortable Place with Great Amenities"
It's very comfortable here and I like that they take them on outings. Dad is happy. He has a 1-bedroom apartment that overlooks a pond with a beaver mound, which he loves because he's a hunter and fisherman. They clean once a week and do two loads of laundry. There was some miscommunication at first about the move-in date, so it wasn't ready when we got there. He has PT and OT visits and a male helper for bathing. Dad loves the food. He asked if they ever cooked eggs and bacon, and they didn't, but they are very accommodating and now they do. The staff is great. They try to get him to join daily activities. He loves visiting with friends at meals. I would recommend this community.

"Nice Facility, But Too Expensive for Us"
The place was really nice and the staff were amazing, but the apartment was really small and I think it would cost too much for our mom.

"“Missing Items Ignored”"
Sometimes things go missing here, like clothes and personal items. But they don’t seem to care about finding out what happened. If I’m worried, why don’t they take action? They have plenty of time to investigate. If it’s an employee stealing, they should fire them! It’s probably tough to find workers in this field because I’ve heard it’s a problem everywhere. It feels like they’re congressmen—stealing without consequences.

"Concerns About Missing Items at Assisted Living Facility"
Some of my clothes and things have disappeared, and it doesn't seem like they're trying to find them. I'm worried, but they haven't taken action. They have enough time to look into it and should fire anyone who's stealing. Maybe it's tough to find workers, but it feels like they're not doing much about it. It's frustrating, and I hope they take this seriously.

"Frequent Laundry Wears Out Clothes at Edgewood"
Edgewood in Sartell seems to mix up people’s laundry a lot. They also wash clothes more than needed. My brother isn’t very active, but they still wash his sheets and clothes every week. He changes his outfit every day, so his clothes don’t really get that dirty to need washing once or even twice a week. This is making his clothes get old quicker than if he just wore them.

"Excessive Laundry Frequency at Edgewood in Sartell"
Edgewood in Sartell appears to struggle with managing residents' laundry effectively. They seem to wash clothes excessively. My brother lives there. He doesn't engage in any hardcore activities, yet they persist in washing his sheets and clothes weekly. He changes his clothes every day, so they aren't dirty enough to need washing every week - sometimes, they do it twice. This over-washing is wearing out his clothes quicker than just wearing them would.

"Assisted Living Experience at Edgewood"
Edgewood is fixing up, so it's a bit messy now. All the staff seem to be ladies. The helpers are nice and seem good with the guests. But sometimes they don't follow family requests. My family member isn't always dressed or ready when I come to get them. Also, I don't think TV is a good way to keep their memory sharp.

"Mixed Experience at Edgewood Assisted Living"
Edgewood is currently undergoing remodeling, which has made things a bit chaotic. The all-female staff is friendly and attentive to the guests. However, there seems to be an issue with following family requests. Sometimes my family member isn't properly dressed when I pick them up. Additionally, I believe watching TV isn't an effective activity for maintaining memory.
