"Friendly Staff, But Understaffing Affects Care Quality"
The staff was nice, but often short-handed, impacting meals and care quality.

"Friendly Staff and Fun Activities!"
I really like the friendly staff. They work well with our family and our loved one. The building needs some window maintenance. Communication with the family is great, and they're responsive to our questions. There are three meals a day, and residents can take food back to their rooms. Plus, there are fun activities like music therapy and events.

"Unprofessional, Overpriced Assisted Living with Poor Security and Activities"
The place really looks old and the rooms are tiny. Doesn't seem like there's been any upgrades since they started the place. The workers don't behave professionally at all. There's no security, anyone can just stroll in without even being asked their name. They offer hardly any activities and never have any trips. It costs too much for what you're getting. There are much better options in the neighborhood.

"Bad and expensive care, too few staff at senior home"
Management and caregivers at this place really need to be taught again. There's no help from the managers and there's never enough staff. This 19 bed home is in a place where a lot of old folks live and yet, they've got lots of empty rooms. Try to find a better place because here, the care is bad and it costs a lot! They don’t have any fun stuff to do. What they say are fun activities aren’t many at all. There are way too many workers leaving and the number of people they care for to the number of workers is scary, especially at night.

"Unsatisfactory Tour at Newly-Owned Facility"
I visited this place for a tour, and it wasn’t great. The place had just gotten new owners the day before. It seemed like nobody expected me. The person showing me around didn’t have answers to my questions. They didn’t have occupational or physical therapy services. The facility only had 19 beds, and I noticed some broken stuff, like closet doors. Plus, the rooms felt pretty cramped. I think families should look at a few different places before deciding.

""Below Par Tour, New Management, Recommend Checking Other Options""
I recently visited this place and the experience wasn't great. They had new owners from just the day before. My visit seemed to surprise everyone there. The person showing me around didn't have answers to my questions. They didn't have Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy. Plus, the place was small with only 19 beds. Some stuff, like closet doors, were broken and the rooms were pretty tiny. I'd suggest families take a look at a couple of different facilities before deciding.

"Good Choice for Seniors"
My dad has been at Brookdale Sauk Rapids for a year. He's quite content there. The quiet residential setting and small facility (18 beds) suit him well. While it's called an assisted living facility, it's more like a nursing home because most residents, including my dad, require significant help with daily activities.
