"An Unexpectedly Unpleasant and Hospital-like Environment"
I was really disappointed when I visited this place. The smell in there wasn't fresh or clean. The apartments seemed kind of rundown, not well-kept. All the doors were wide open when we walked down the hall. It reminded me more of a hospital than a home. I didn't think my loved one would be comfortable there.

"Mom's new home is great! Staff are so nice!"
My mom likes living at the New Perspective. She's still getting used to it, but everyone who works there has been really nice. She even has a favorite aide.

"Helping Us Both Get Adjusted"
This place has been a bit challenging for my mom and me. It’s a new environment for her, so she’s still getting used to it. But overall, it’s a lovely community, and they’re doing their best to take care of her. I’m relieved she’s getting proper care and is safe. Plus, there are plenty of activities for her to explore when she’s ready. The staff has been great at helping both of us adjust. I recommend it.

"Great Assisted Living Experience"
I highly recommend this community! The staff is friendly and ensures my mom eats and takes her meds. She’s doing well, although she has good and bad days due to Alzheimer’s. It’d be nice to have more activities for her stage. Other residents enjoy TV and music. My mom appreciates her daily newspaper. The separate area for full Alzheimer’s patients is helpful. With only 10 residents, her room is wonderful. No unpleasant smells either. Just remember to follow up on paperwork. It’s a bit pricier than expected, but it’s memory care.

"I really recommend Lighthouse of Cloquet!"
I really recommend this community! The staff is great and makes sure my mom eats and takes her meds. She’s doing well, even though she has her good and bad days. She’s in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and likes to socialize. I wish there were more activities suited for her stage, as other residents seem content with watching TV or listening to music. My mom enjoys reading her newspaper daily. The Alzheimer’s patients are in a separate area, which helps. There are only 10 residents in her building, which is a big help. Her room is wonderful, and she’s happy it doesn’t smell bad. Just be sure to follow up on some things, like paperwork. It’s more expensive than I thought, but that’s expected for memory care.
