"Great Food and Housekeeping, But Improve Communication"
Staff should communicate more, perhaps with a weekly 'report.' The food and housekeeping are excellent!

"Not Recommended for Assisted Living"
I wouldn't suggest this place for Assisted Living. They didn't consistently give the care we paid for, and it wasn't a good fit for my mom's situation.

"Unfit Care: Avoid The Newly Renamed Lighthouse Assisted Living"
Steer clear of this place. If you truly cherish your family member, skip this joint. It's always lacking staff, makes lots of medication mistakes, and has a low rating from the state. It used to be the Lighthouse of Columbia Heights. They changed the name to start fresh with the state of MN. There's a big list of neglect cases and deaths by neglect, recorded with the state of MN. They're tough to find, but they're all documented. Bosses change super often, nurses quit regularly, they can't maintain staff. No legit monitoring on weekends or holidays. Don't waste your family member or your cash here. This place is awful! I'm telling you from experience. I had my family member there once and moved them the moment I figured out what was really happening behind closed doors. It's all just a big illusion.

"Good respite care, activities, clean, comfortable, minor medication issues."
We chose New Perspective for respite care; overall, it worked well. They were kind, efficient, and had adequate staffing. Though there were medication issues, they were quickly resolved. Lots of activities like card games, shuffleboard, and clean, comfortable surroundings.

"So Far, All Is Working Out Pretty Well"
Things have been going well for my dad since he moved to this community. I feel he's safe and in good hands here. The staff is helpful, kind, and friendly during my visits. They do a great job keeping everything clean and nice. Plus, the meals are pretty good, and there are activities for residents. Overall, this community is working out for us.

"High Turnover Rate at Beautiful Assisted Living Facility"
My mom has been living here. It's a beautiful place with a fantastic chef at last. But it's seriously upsetting how often they lose their best, most experienced employees. It's hard to believe how many exceptional employees have chosen to leave. I can't even keep track. It must be a difficult place to work. Before you choose this place for someone you care about, ask for evidence of how often employees leave. Your relative will get to know and trust the caregivers here, only to see them leave just when they've become an important part of their life.

"Continual Staff Departures Spoil This Assisted Living Experience"
My mom moved in here. The place is nice looking and they finally have a decent cook. However, the frequent change of their cherished, experienced workers is incredibly disappointing. I can't even think of how terrible this place must be to work at, given all the wonderful staff that have left voluntarily. The number is too high to count. Before letting your family members live here, ask them to show evidence of how often workers leave. Your loved ones will form connections with the carers, only to see them walk out the door just when they've become important in your loved one's life.

"Great Place for Dad, but Needed More Care"
My dad had a really good time at this place. It's super nice. But, he needed more help than they could give. So, we had to move him. Still, I was really happy with everything they did for us. The people who work there are really nice and helpful. They did a great job keeping everything clean and nice. My dad liked it there, and I would tell others to check it out.

"Impressive Assisted Living Tour at New Perspective"
The tour of New Perspective by was awesome! did a fantastic job explaining the Assisted Living environment and answering our questions. The kitchen was a bit disappointing with only a mini refrigerator and no oven, but it did have a microwave. Overall, New Perspective is an impressive facility for Assisted Living.

"Mom's Happy Home"
The people here take care of my mom really well. Mom has organized various fundraisers at this place. It's in the same neighborhood where she used to live. She chose it because she knew the folks here. The place is always tidy and neat. Mom enjoys the food sometimes, but not always. She also joined exercise classes, watched movies, and played bingo.

"The best place for mom: The Lighthouse"
When I visited The Lighthouse, I felt cautious and nervous like any child trying to find the perfect place for their parent. But my first visit was fantastic! Mary, who works there, was friendly and explained everything thoroughly. The staff genuinely cares about the residents, and the place is always clean—no hospital smell! After just a little thought, I knew I wanted my mom there. She’s been living at The Lighthouse for six weeks now, and she’s gone from liking it to being very happy. I highly recommend checking out The Lighthouse if you’re shopping around for a family member. It’s not just a regular place—it’s about keeping people active and involved. Even my mom complains sometimes that they keep her busy! Overall, I couldn’t be happier with our choice.

"We're Delighted: Mom Thrives!"
We really like this place. My mom is doing great here. It's a nice, well-kept community. The staff is good, and there are fun activities, like gardening. They encourage residents to join in. We feel she's safe and in good hands. Just make sure someone watches over your loved one.

"Think Twice Before Choosing Lighthouse for Loved Ones"
The helpers here are awesome, though they come and go a lot. The nursing crew isn't that great - seems like they're never all on the same page. They mess up a lot. The doctors that work for Lighthouse need to be replaced. They're not good enough and aren't trained well. Sometimes, residents don't get their medicine for months and nobody even realizes, including the people at Lighthouse. The place is okay, but it was a lot nicer 4 years ago. It's been going downhill and still is. When it comes to how clean the place is, it changes every day. The front lobby and big rooms like that are usually clean enough. But the people who are supposed to clean residents' rooms really need to learn how to do their job. If Lighthouse is one of the places you're thinking about for your loved one, I'd say look at other places and really make sure you look closely at each one so you don't end up with problems taking care of your loved one.

"Great place overall but pricey. Friendly staff, clean environment."
I didn't give them a five because of the cost. They weren't actually pricier than others; some were even more costly. But, honestly, they were all quite expensive. Besides that, everything else was fantastic! It's really clean and nice there. The staff was super nice, and they treated her really well. She had a good time staying there.

"Could Be Better, Could Be Worse"
Things have been okay, but there's been more staff turnover. It's been tough getting issues resolved. Hopefully, with the new director, things will improve. The staff is generally friendly, and the care provided has been pretty good. Sometimes, though, they do seem a bit short-staffed.
