"Assisted Living Emphasis, Independent Living Preference"

The place seemed to focus only on assisted living. I’d rather stay in Independent Living until my spouse needs assistance. Then, we wouldn’t have to move to a different apartment.

"Overall good, slow response time"

Everything seems good, but when my sister fell early in the morning, it took too long for help to arrive. Otherwise, the staff and facilities are great.

"My mom has a lake view from her room"

My mom is doing well, and I believe she's safe at the assisted living facility. Despite her sundowners, she still moves around with her walker. The staff does an excellent job, keeping me informed and making me feel welcome during my visits. Plus, my mom enjoys a lovely view of the lake from her room.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

My mom is still getting used to her new place. The staff seems a bit short-handed. Most of them are friendly, but not everyone. They really need better training in the transport department I've seen residents almost dropped during transfers. The administration acknowledges the issue, but all they say is that they're working on it. Mom hasn't complained about the food, and laundry has been okay. Although, a couple of times, I've noticed wet towels left on the bed, which was then made over them.

"Settling In with Obvious Issues"

My mom is still getting used to her new living environment. The staff is a bit short and while they're mostly friendly, not all are. I believe some more training should be provided in the transportation department. I've seen residents nearly dropped during transfers. The management knows but their response is that they are addressing the situation. Mom eats regularly and hasn't really complained about the food. The laundry service is acceptable but I've noticed a few instances where a wet towel was left on the bed and the bed was made over it.

"Food Quality Declines at Assisted Living Facility"

They say they have a chef, but the food keeps getting worse. It's all fancy names, but no flavor – barely even edible.

"Pretty Lakeside Facility Lacks Care Quality"

If your family member needs help with their medication, be wary. My mom's medication was often given inconsistently, there were some errors, and it was hard to understand a lot of the staff because their English was not clear. The service to help her manage her medicines costs over $50 a day, so it's surprising how careless they were. If she needs extra medicine or any on an as-needed basis and hits the call button, she could wait up to an hour, mostly at night or during the weekend when there aren't many staff. The building itself is charming and it's by a lake, but I'd suggest checking Minnesota state reports, visiting during off-peak hours, asking residents for their opinion, and staying active in your loved one's care process. The staff, often overworked and under pressure, are employees - they aren't family.

"Big Dog Brings Joy at NP of Roseville!"

The friendly big dog, a highly trained service animal, watches over my health and blood sugar. Many residents at NP of Roseville find joy in this therapy dog. Instead of creating negative reviews, the person having issues with Gus should have talked to his handler first. I encourage residents and visitors to share their experiences with Gus.

"Residents Love the Big Dog Gus!"

The big dog is a loving and caring, highly trained service animal. He helps me feel safe by watching over my blood sugar levels. I know for sure that the big dog brings a lot of joy to many residents at NP of Roseville as a therapy dog. I think the person having issues with Gus should have talked to his handler first to solve any problems, instead of involving Management and others at NP of Roseville and creating negative reviews about Gus. I welcome any residents and visitors to share any difficulties or blessings they have experienced with Gus. Thank you,

"Friendly Dog and Mixed Apartments at Nice Facility"

This place is pretty nice. Some apartments are great, others not so much. Food seems good overall, but we only had one meal here. There's a friendly, large dog in the foyer that residents seem to love.

"New Beginnings, Roseville"

This place is really nice. Some of the apartments are great, while others aren’t as nice. The food overall seems good, but we only had one meal here. There’s a big dog in the foyer, and even though he’s large, he’s friendly. The residents seem to like him, and it’s a win-win for both the dog and the residents.

"Mixed feelings about senior care center"

This place for older folks is nice but kinda old. Bathrooms have cracks and stuff. Overall nice, but a big dog in the lobby could make you trip. I tried to avoid it, but nobody moved it. This happened four times already. The workers are nice and take care of old folks well. Food options are healthy and good. Some activities, but not as much as other places.

"Unmoved Dog Causes Concern at Decent Senior Home"

The senior living home is pretty decent, but it's old. There're some problems like cracks in the bathrooms and stuff, but all in all, it's a pretty good place. There's this big dog that’s usually in the lobby and anyone could trip over. I've tried avoiding the dog and its leash but nobody seems to care to move them out of the way. This has happened the past four times I visited this place. The workers are really good and they take good care of the older folks. They serve pretty healthy and tasty food, and there's some stuff to do, but not as much as I've seen at other senior houses.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

We liked the location and common space. It was nice to see residents socializing in the bistro. The apartments we toured had lovely lake views and seemed suitable for Mom, except for the kitchen lacking food prep space. In my opinion, it’s only good for heating up frozen dinners. The other downside was the walking trail, which we didn’t check but were told circled the building—too short for Mom’s needs. Our scheduled appointment had a 20-minute delay, cutting our time to ask questions. The salesperson was out sick, and the executive director had no notes from my previous conversations with staff.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

We liked the place and how folks mingled in the lounge. The apartments we saw had nice views of the lake. But, there's a snag with the kitchen – no space to cook, just heat up pre-made meals. Also, the walking trail might be too short for Mom. We waited 20 minutes for our appointment, which got cut short. The salesperson was out sick, and the director seemed unaware of our previous talks with staff.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

This place has a nice view of a lake, and the staff pays attention to the residents. When I visited, most of the residents seemed to have lower functioning abilities than my mom. I'm not sure if she'd fit in well here. The activity program is good, and the apartments are nice. But the food isn't great it's served on white plates, which is hard for older folks to see. Other memory care places use colorful dishes to help people know what they're eating. Here, they served white clam chowder in a white bowl, and the fish with scalloped potatoes was also all white. Not very appealing! I did chat with a couple of residents, though, and they said it's okay here three meals a day and a room.

"Warm and Cozy Living at Keystone Communities of Roseville"

Moving is hard for most people, but it's even harder when you've lived in the same home for 50 years! We were lucky to find Keystone Communities of Roseville for our sister, so she could stay close to familiar places. Her cozy apartment is just the right size, has a partial lake view, is in a quiet corner with two other apartments nearby, and there's an elevator just a few feet away! Even though she's only been at Keystone of Roseville for less than two months, she's already made friends she feels comfortable with. There are plenty of activities to keep her busy and challenged. She loves that she can take the Roseville Shuttle to her favorite spots in town. As winter gets closer, we feel good knowing she'll be warm and cozy and won't have to deal with the snow and ice that Minnesota winters bring!

"A Smooth Transition to a Cozy New Home"

Moving can be tough, especially after 50 years in one place. We were lucky to find Keystone Communities of Roseville for our sister. She’s now in a comfortable apartment that’s just the right size, with a nice partial lake view and close to an elevator. Though she’s only been there for less than two months, she’s already made new friends and enjoys the activities available. She’s also happy to use the Roseville Shuttle to visit familiar places around town. As winter approaches, we feel good knowing she’ll be warm and won’t have to deal with the snow and ice that Minnesota winters bring!

"Fantastic Place for Seniors!"

I really liked the visit me and my family had at this place. They had lots of good stuff for the old folks and the building looked really nice. The people who run the place were super helpful and they took the time to answer all our questions.

"Tour Impressions: A Pleasant Experience at the Assisted Living Community"

I went to visit this place and it seemed pretty cool. The folks I talked to on the tour were friendly. The place looked tidy enough, and the rooms seemed comfy.

"Care Falls Short in Assisted Living Facility"

Be ready to check on your loved one's care often. The nursing staff makes many mistakes, some of which are serious. Reminders for your loved one don't happen. Extra help isn't provided, and medication may or may not be given. You must watch over your loved one's care closely. We trust these communities for peace of mind, but it's not found here. Don't be fooled by the nice building and surroundings. Unfortunately, the care isn't up to par.

"Heed Warning: Unreliable Care Amid Aesthetic Deception!"

You've got to be continuously attentive of your loved one's care at this facility. The nursing staff's blunders are massively troubling, sometimes even putting lives at risk. If your family member needs reminders, they simply won't come. If they require a bit more assistance, forget about that as well. Even their important medication isn't guaranteed to be given. It's crucial to be watchful over your loved one's care. The purpose of these places is to give peace of mind for our family and us - a luxury you won't have here. Don't let the environment and structures deceive you. It's disheartening that the care you expect isn't forthcoming here.

"Neglectful Care and Poor Response at Assisted Living Facility"

This place looks pretty good but I had a bad experience. They promised they could look after my mom with no issues. But my mom got sick and tried to tell staff she felt bad. She ended up throwing up in her bed. No one cleaned her or the bed up, and she said they didn't ask how she was feeling. They didn't say sorry and give our money back. I had to ask for our refund, which I got. This place seems to be for people who don't need a lot of help.

"Looks Good, Care Level Low."

The place is pretty, but we faced several issues during our stay. They confidently committed to taking good care of my mom, but they failed. When my mom started feeling sick and informed the staff, they didn't react properly. It led to her throwing up in her bed, which was not cleaned immediately. They didn't even inquire about her condition. Despite this horrible experience, they didn't offer a refund. I had to fight to get my money back. I believe this facility is better suited for those needing minimal care.

"Quality Comparable to Other Options"

We visited this place while exploring our options. The quality matched what we saw in other places. Unfortunately, the room's location didn't suit us it was far from the activities, and I worried it might lead to isolation for my loved one. Overall, it wasn't the best fit for us.

"Mixed Feelings: Assisted Living Experience"

During the day, the staff is alright, but at night, they're not so good. The place is okay overall, but it's not worth the money. People always gripe about the food. The nighttime staff struggles with language.

"A Nice Place with Friendly Staff"

My family member just started at Keystone Communities, and we're pleased with our time here so far. The place looks nice, and the staff is kind and knows what they're doing. Right now, they're changing owners, which has caused a few problems with their services. I think things will get better once they sort out the ownership change.

"Multiple Errors: Medication Mistakes at Assisted Living Facility"

My mom stayed here for a few months. They use an old, paper-only system to manage medications which isn't reliable. My mom didn't get one of her meds for almost a week, and neither her doctor nor I knew for five days. There were mistakes made by both the staff and the pharmacy many times over several days.

"Attentive Staff, Room for Improvement in Emergency Care, Overall Great"

The people at Keystone Communities of Roseville take really good care of my dad. They make sure he's safe and gets what he needs. They just need to pay more attention to details when he goes to the emergency room. But besides that, everything is awesome.

"Great staff, dull food."

The staff is super friendly and helpful, getting to know all the residents and their preferences. However, the food tends to be plain and old-fashioned, with overcooked veggies. Recycling practices need improvement, but the view and rooms make Mom happy!

"A Nice Community but Costly"

It's turning out to be more expensive than we thought. We expected it to be a bit more secure. Adding security will cost more money. I thought someone would be outside the door, but there isn't. She does need to stay away from the door in the memory unit. She was a very private person before needing memory care. They are very clean and have done a good job. Everyone is friendly, don't get me wrong. It's a nice facility; we chose it because it seemed like a nice community. But it ended up being more expensive. They do take elder care.

The workers were nice and made me feel cared for. But the rooms seemed old and not very spacious.

"Overbearing and Extremely Overpriced Facility"

This place was way too pricey and kind of forceful. They really wanted my folks to go there and even talked down about Sunrise. That was out of line and it truly upset me. Their facility wasn't even better than Sunrise. I don't get why their cost was so high. They claimed that they included all services in one package, which is exactly what Sunrise also does, but at half the cost.

"Persistent Staff, Tiny Apartments"

The place was under renovation, but the apartments were pretty cramped. The woman there kept on, yet the facility just wasn’t to my liking.

"Learning from Respite Care Experience"

My husband stayed at this place for a short break. It wasn't great because I didn't know to ask for all the services he needed. So, when he left, he was very weak. I felt let down and realized I should have asked for more help. He can live in a place like this as long as they provide enough helpers and interesting activities. He needs encouragement, or he won't participate. We wanted a small room for him, and we had a good idea of the cost. Before he moved in, a nurse checked what he needed, but she didn't understand it all. The short stay helped me understand his needs better and what to ask for in the future.

"Great Assisted Living with Lake View and 24-Hour Staff"

I liked this place. There's staff available 24 hours a day. It has 106 units. There's a Lifeline button for emergencies. You get a wellness consultation once a month. Housekeeping, cable, and phone are included. More assisted living options. Nice deck overlooking Owaeso Lake.
