"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
I preferred Assisted Living over Long Term Community. My loved one transitioned to other stages, but we moved due to shared restrooms and no private baths. Cleanliness in long-term care could improve, but the staff worked diligently. My loved one appreciated the aides.

"Grandma's Valuables Disappeared at Assisted Living Home, No Assistance"
My grandma stayed in this home for a long time. Unfortunately, she passed away at 102 years old after spending over 5 years there. During her time there, lots of cherished family keepsakes disappeared. This included cookware, antique Christmas ornaments, and even her wedding ring when she couldn't protect herself. Every time we told the management, nothing was done and we didn't get anything back. This has been very hard on our family. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone!

"No Pets Allowed in Convenient Location"
It's near my mom, but no pets allowed, which I forgot.

"Small Rooms, Big Concerns"
This place has Catholic services with a resident priest, and the security system is good. Many friends have stayed here over the years. The only big problem is that the rooms are very small, like hospital rooms with a curtain dividing them from another resident.

"Lovely Outdoor Space, But Location Wasn't Ideal"
When I first toured this community, I thought it looked very nice and well-kept. It gave me a good feeling. Everything was very organized. The outdoor area is a big highlight, with a nice space for residents to socialize and even play shuffleboard. The only reason I didn't choose this community is because of the location. My loved ones wanted to be closer to a certain city.

"Unsatisfactory Care at Assisted Living Facility, Mom Hospitalized"
The physical therapists know their stuff. The nurses – they're alright. But the aides - they're the pits. They barely speak English and they're totally clueless. It was three days before my mom got dropped and had to be sent to the hospital. I wouldn't even consider letting my sick dog stay here. Check out what went down in 2016 and 2014 in the Star Tribune.

"Negligent Staff and Poor Patient Care"
The physical therapy staff are skilled at their jobs. The nurses are fine, I guess. However, the aides are plain terrible-their English is poor and they are incredibly unskilled. My mom was only there for three days before they dropped her, resulting in her having to go to the hospital. I wouldn't even consider sending my poor, sick dog here.

"Nice amenities, not chosen for nursing home feel"
We visited this independent living apartment and had a nice lunch in the dining room. This place has lots of amenities and would be a good choice for people. My friend didn't pick it because she liked another apartment that felt less like a nursing home.

"Good Community"
My brother is getting better after a fall. The great thing about this place is they have a rehab center right here. So we could keep him here. When he’s fully recovered, he’ll go back to his apartment. We really like this community. It’s safe, and the staff takes good care of him. The other residents are friendly and kind. Overall, I’d recommend this community.

"Navigational challenges; Not ideal for my mother's needs."
I toured Saint Therese of New Hope. It's big and confusing. My mom might get lost here. Not the best for her.

"Cozy place, but not ready for nursing home vibe"
Nice, cozy atmosphere and active community. The units are small and basic. Having both assisted living and long-term care on site could be good for some, but it feels too much for us. We're not ready for a nursing home vibe yet.

"Expensive, small rooms in otherwise nice assisted living facility."
The assisted living place seemed nice with lots of good things. The room was way pricier than another one we checked, and they were small and not very cheerful. You could pick between having your own room or sharing, but both were the same size and separated by a curtain.
