"Assisted Living Facility: Friendly Community with Service and Dining Concerns"
The community has friendly residents but faces staffing challenges. Meals, delivered due to pandemic, may arrive cold. Few activities available.

"Assisted Living Review: Comfortable, Tempting Desserts, and Easy Interaction"
I'm glad you're happy with the assisted living facility! It's great that it's smoke-free and pet-free, which helps with allergies. Having a community message board for buying, selling, and trading would be a nice addition. The food is good, although the temptation of two desserts might be hard to resist. And the focus on independent living makes it easy to connect with other residents.

"Happy with the Place"
I’m really happy with this place. It’s great that it’s smoke-free and pet-free because that helps with my allergies. I wish they had a community message board where we could buy, sell, or trade stuff. The food is good, although having two desserts is quite tempting. I also like that it’s only independent living, so I can easily connect with other residents.

"Mom loves her new home at St. Benedict's!"
Mom's apartment is lovely, and the staff keeps it spotless. The Home Care team provides great care. Mom loves the tasty meals in the dining room. She plays cards, watches movies in the theater almost every day, and enjoys doing crafts. She can visit the on-site Chapel and the Church next door. Mom is so happy we moved her to St. Benedict's! She says living at St. Benedict's is "a little slice of heaven.

"Disappointing Care at Assisted Living Facility"
This place might be okay if you like being on your own and don’t really want to hang out with others. At first, we were in the regular part where you get a little help, and then they told us we should move my mom to the part where they have more stuff to do because she’d be way happier. That was totally not true. Do all these places just say the same thing? They only did the rosary every day, church twice a week, and some exercise that was just watching a video and trying to follow along. For breakfast, they just gave out cold cereal and fruit from a can. On movie nights, they’d just play a video and leave. And they didn’t do any crafts at all! Isn’t making stuff supposed to be good for your brain? After dinner, when it was game time, no one from the place helped the people talk or play together. I even saw someone who works there give my mom a pill that fell on the floor! What if we’re not there to see it? We took my mom out of there in less than a year. Make sure you visit your family a lot if they live in a place like this, so you know what’s really going on.

"Assisted Living Place: Unfulfilling and Neglectful"
This might be a suitable spot for individuals who enjoy their solitude and can mostly take care of themselves. My mother initially lived in assisted living, but the staff strongly suggested we shift her to memory care. They raved about the amount of activities and promised she'd have a better experience. This sales pitch is starting to sound familiar. Is this how every facility operates? Their activities consisted of daily rosary recitations, church twice weekly, and self-guided exercise sessions via pre-recorded videos. Breakfast was as uninspiring as cold cereal and canned fruit. Similarly, movie night was just another movie tape playing without any staff supervision. Shockingly, there were no creative activities like crafts! Could they not acknowledge that creativity often lasts longer in elderly people? Dinnertime activities were devoid of any intervention from the staff, so residents rarely interacted with each other. I even witnessed a staff member clumsily attempt to administer a dropped pill to my mother in my presence. It makes me wonder what happens when we're not around. We didn't waste much time. My mother moved out in under a year. Please, ensure you check up frequently and observe how your loved ones are cared for at such establishments.
