"A well-rounded assisted living facility with friendly staff and varied activities."
At The Commons On Marice, they take good care of everything you need. It's clean, with lots of fun activities for residents. The staff is friendly, and the food caters to different tastes. I'd recommend it to family and friends.

"A Nice Place with Costly Care Services"
My family member stayed at The Commons on Marice for 6 months, but it became too expensive. The care services cost a lot, and we couldn't afford it. The staff was helpful, though. The surroundings were nice.

"Mixed Impressions at The Commons on Marice"
The Commons on Marice seemed great. Lots of parking, easy access. We explored other options, but it didn’t match our needs.

"Encouragement Needed"
This community provides good services, and my parents receive excellent care. Due to COVID, meals are delivered to rooms instead of the dining area, which may not be satisfying for those who want to be outside. While there are many activities available, my parents lack the initiative to attend, and there's no encouragement for them to participate. More encouragement would be beneficial.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living During COVID"
When we first brought my mom to the assisted living place, everything seemed great. The people there were super nice and helped us get her settled in. But when COVID hit, things started to go downhill. I believe they did their best, but somehow, they didn’t do enough to stop the virus from getting in. The staff ended up bringing COVID into the place. It wasn’t long, less than two weeks, before my mom got sick with COVID after hanging out in the shared spaces. Towards the end, they did let us come in to be with her.

"Poor Communication and Disregard for Families in Assisted Living"
The place doesn't tell families about medical stuff happening to people living there. Big medical changes should be told to family. A POA isn't a guardian and can't decide who talks to or visits a resident. They completely ignore families dealing with end-of-life stuff. I'm really let down.

"Lack of staff knowledge and communication issues."
The staff didn't know much about my dad's care. Communication was poor, but they were friendly. The building was large, and staff rotated frequently.

"Deplorable Assisted Living Facility with Disinterested Management"
In my view, this establishment is far below par. The reoccurring issue of new faces due to staff turnover displays their lack of concern for anything beyond profit. My father was a resident for two years, and throughout that period, our issues fell on deaf ears. I voiced my complaints and was bluntly told the staff didn't concern about it. The Goodman Group, the overseeing entity of this place, proved equally indifferent. I reached out to the CEO of The Goodman Group but to no avail, as my calls were disregarded. Thus, over $150,000 was squandered in this neglectful environment. Thankfully, my dad now resides elsewhere, and his contentment is highly apparent. If it were possible, this establishment wouldn't even merit a mere star from me.

I checked this place for my mom. It's nice but costly. Friendly guide. Chose closer one.

"Not-so-great Apartments"
The Commons on Marice looked nice and tidy, but the apartments weren’t as good as the rest of the place. That’s where my mom would’ve stayed. The tour guide was nice but not very clear.

"A Great Place With Caring Staff"
My friend is doing well at this community. She’s still adjusting, but everything is going smoothly so far. The place is very clean and well-kept. The staff is wonderful, and she really enjoys the food. I feel confident she’s in good hands and getting good care. I would recommend this community to others.

"Highly Disappointed in Pearl Garden's Memory Care Services"
Our Family's Poor Experience with Pearl Garden's Memory Care Unit" My relative used to be a resident of Pearl Garden's memory care floor and sadly, we had a gut-wrenching experience. The nursing staff hardly ever left their small office, and they didn’t seem friendly towards us, the family members. We took it upon us to be hands-on with our mom's care and found her often stuck in the same chair she was put in early in the morning, still there at noon. She was found in soiled clothing multiple times in a week, which implied a lack of assistance for bathroom visits. Heartbreakingly, I’ve shed many tears over this. My mother needed total assistance. She couldn't walk or eat by herself. However, the staff blamed her for her circumstances. Despite the community’s pleasant appearance and their awards for activities, I question the merits of these achievements when they can't ensure the bare minimum care for their residents. Any attempt to reach out to the nurses ended up making them angry rather than wanting to help or provide caregiver training. Ultimately, we brought mom home. Though it was challenging, she was treated with the dignity and compassion she deserved at home.

"Challenges at The Commons on Marice Assisted Living Facility"
We had some issues at The Commons on Marice. My mom was only there for a few weeks. The problem was with their pendant system. Her pendant didn't work properly, so when she needed help, no one would come. She had to call me at 1 in the morning for assistance. It was very upsetting for her since she was new and needed a lot of help. They did give her a credit to apologize, but she felt like no amount of money could make up for what she went through. It was hard for me to believe that my mom had such bad luck right after arriving. It wouldn't have been as bad if she didn't go through 4 pendants before getting a working one. Even when things were working, sometimes she still had to wait for staff to help her to the bathroom. Maybe my mother needed more care than they could provide. Sadly, she passed away after only 3 weeks there. I wonder if things would have improved if she had stayed longer.

"Upscale, but Pricey"
It’s a bit fancy. The common areas and food choices are nice, but the rooms are too small, and it costs a lot more. There are more activities, but they come with a price.

"Beautiful Facility with Communication and Follow-Up Problems"
This place has its ups and downs. They're good with activities and food. You can stay in your own apartment and just add services, which is nice. But they promise things they don't deliver on. First, they messed up our lease agreement. Then, after my mom fell, they said they'd make sure she went to dinner, but they didn't. They also said they'd have a psychologist see her, but they didn't follow through. The place looks nice and has lots of opportunities, but they really need to work on communication. It's frustrating when they keep dropping the ball.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living near airport with unclear pet policy"
The place looks nice, but it's kind of loud with all those planes zooming by from the airport nearby. Plus, they didn't say anything about whether they allow pets or not.
