"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My first impression matters a lot. The windows weren't clean when I walked in. Some staff struggle with English. But the person who helped us was fantastic and very helpful. The food tasted good. They've made recent changes, so let's see how it goes.

The staff at The Homestead at Maplewood is amazing and very friendly. They've been there a long time and are wonderful people. The carpet needs replacing; it smells bad. Besides that, they keep the place very clean and take pride in the building. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends. My mother-in-law loves it there!

Modest comfort. Good health and safety. Solid, caring staff. They accommodate personal needs and preferences. Provide primary care level medical help. Very good at communicating with families. They respond well to residents' concerns. Friendly and helpful with enjoyable entertainment and weekly exercise.

"Not Ideal During COVID"
This place wasn't great during COVID. Our family member felt lonely and isolated. Virtual visits were okay, but the in-person ones were infrequent and poorly organized. It wasn't comfortable for everyone.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Overall Positive Experience"
The place looks nice, but can be confusing sometimes. They're probably trying to fix things. My mom and others have to wait for their food for up to 25 minutes. But when she gets it, it's good. The staff is nice and the place is clean with well-kept grounds. Mom likes the activities like playing cards. They had a fun fundraiser recently, and the directors were friendly. I'd suggest this community.

"Caring for My Mom in a Nice"
My mom is really enjoying her time at this community. It's a very nice place, and I'm happy she moved here. It's good and safe, with kind people. I know she's well cared for. There are some activities for the residents, but they could have more choices. The meals are good. We've had a good experience here. I would recommend this community.

"Maplewood Homestead Okay, but Weekend Supervision Lacks Attention"
Maplewood Homestead does alright with their Memory Care folks, they keep them busy with activities during the week. Lots of entertainers stop by to perform, which is great. But, it bugs me that the weekend staff, a lot younger and not very attentive, don't really keep an eye on the residents. My sister's walker has gone missing twice now in the seven weeks she's been living there. We've been searching for it for six days this time. And, it had her name and room number on it.

"Good Tour, but Far Away"
This place looks really nice and well taken care of. When I went on the tour, the person in charge gave me all their attention and stayed focused the whole time. I did like this place, but because it's far away and not a brand-new place, we decided against it.

The staff are very friendly and professional. Rent and services are fairly priced. Everything about this place is wonderful. We couldn't be happier with our experience.
