"Good Environment, Staff, and Food; Rough Start"
Environment, staff, and food are all great! The start was a bit rough, and like any new place, there were some issues in the first few months. We picked this facility for its location, price, and available room.

"Village Shores: Welcoming Staff, Excellent Activities, Highly Recommended"
I live at Village Shores and it's been great. My family found everyone welcoming when they helped me move in. The staff and administration are excellent. The exercise and social activities are top-notch. I would recommend Village Shores to others.

"Mixed Experience at Village Shores Assisted Living"
Village Shores offers lots of activities and tasty food. But if your senior needs extra care, it might not be the best fit. The medical team is limited, and there’s no buddy system for lonely seniors. Also, the daily check-in is basic.

"Assisted Living Facility Faces Dining and Transportation Challenges"
The dining program has issues. Not many residents eat regularly in the dining room. The Bistro, another food option, is often closed. The van service for appointments and shopping is very limited in how many residents it can take, and Village Shore is a big building.

"Parents thriving with activities and amenities at assisted living facility"
After a month of settling in, Mom and Dad are getting involved in activities. Dad particularly enjoyed a trip to Orchestra Hall and regularly joins in-house events. He appreciates the convenience of the staffed workout room. While they've had one excellent meal, they often find the food average, opting for Pizza Luca nearby. Surprisingly, having Chase Bank nearby has been convenient; their agents even come to the lobby for signings. Being close to Village Shores allows us to visit easily with our grandson in tow.

"Friendly Assisted Living Review"
Village Shores is a nice, clean place. Most of the staff are friendly. But there have been billing mistakes, so check your monthly statement carefully. Prices are a bit high, but similar to other places nearby. They offer one-on-one PT, but there’s a wait due to staff shortage. Getting hold of the nursing staff is tough for family members checking on loved ones. They do call back, but it takes hours and only if you leave messages. The dining room has limited food options, and it’s too salty for seniors. Despite that, my dad loves it here. As long as he’s happy and well-cared for, I’ll keep him here. They’re starting a ‘family committee’ to improve service quality for residents. Let’s see how it goes." .

"Not Recommended for Families"
The assisted living place had trouble with hospice care and didn't know how to talk to them. This made things tough for us. The biggest problem was that they didn't communicate well. Based on our experience, I wouldn't suggest Village Shores to other families.

"Efficient Staff, Mixed Meals: Assisted Living Review"
This community is perfect for aging parents. When my loved one needed help, staff responded promptly. However, meal choices are limited; the bistro is preferred over the dining room.

"Nice location, but not the right fit"
We had an in-person tour at Village Shores. It's near many natural areas, which we liked, but it didn't feel like the right fit for us.

"Great place with friendly staff, good food, and fun activities"
I would definitely suggest this community for your loved ones. I recommended it to a man, and he moved in. I chose this place because of the food services. The residents are nice, and the staff is really helpful. I have no complaints. They offer cards, Bible study, movies, lectures, and other fun activities for everyone to enjoy.

"Praise for Assisted Living Community's Cleanliness and Activities"
"It's been a great community. We've been really happy with the services and the staff. Joining activities and meeting other residents makes the experience much better. There are plenty of things to do here for residents. It's very clean; I've never seen any dirt or trash in the hallways or outside areas. The buildings look brand new; they've been recently renovated, and it's very well done."

"Hidden Fees Galore: A Mixed Bag for Assisted Living"
This place isn't too bad, but watch out for sneaky costs. They don't tell you everything upfront, especially about food and other charges. Moving a loved one can be overwhelming, and the company should be more transparent. Taking care of my mom here taught me a lot. Sadly, it seems like money matters more than people in every place. Despite this, we've decided to keep Mom here since she's happy and has made friends.

"Okay Assisted Living with Balcony"
Um, so the assisted living place was kinda okay. I wasn't super impressed, you know? They had this balcony thing where you could go outside, but honestly, it made me a bit nervous. Especially for someone who's like borderline needing assistance.

"Top Choice with Cost Concerns"
This place was probably our top choice out of the three we checked out. But the cost estimate for just being a resident gave us quite a shock. We'll definitely need more options.
