"New Director Causes Staff Resignations and Resident Issues at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member has lived at Monarch Meadows for 18 years and we've observed many changes. There was a big mistake last fall when my mom didn't get her night-time meds for five days, including crucial blood thinners. This mishap resulted in a nurse, the chief, and the medication assistant being fired. After the new head director arrived on , five people have moved out and lots of good staff quit due to her bad leadership and people skills. Complaints aren't being dealt with properly, and there's big turnover amongst staff. Not to mention, rent’s going up by 11 percent, causing more grumbles from the elderly folks who live here. Thanks to those few good staff who remained. If the head director would go, I think there'd be far less quitting and everyone there, both workers and residents, would be happier.

"Enthusiastic Praise for Assisted Living Facility and Staff"
I've been frequenting this place for some time, and the past few months have definitely been fantastic. From the lovely ambiance upon entering to the superb staff, you always feel welcome when you step inside. They're always prepared to assist you with whatever you need. I frequently see seniors in community areas either socializing or reading the paper. There's usually some enjoyable activity happening. They've even brought in new furniture for the community areas, and it's actually quite nice. I need to mention that this staff genuinely cares about their residents.

"Mixed experience with medication management at otherwise great assisted living facility."
Overall, the service is good. But I've had issues with my medicine. I'm unsure when I'll receive new ones and what they're for.

"Mixed Feelings at Assisted Living"
I didn't want to leave my home, but being here is okay. Staff is helpful and kind, although it's tough when people 'get in my business.' The food has its ups and downs, but overall, it's satisfactory.

"Friendly staff, clean, great activities, happy resident"
Our group of five siblings checked out four places in Mankato for our parent, who has always lived in the Mankato/North Mankato area. We chose Monarch Meadows. We picked Monarch Meadows because the staff is friendly, the place is clean, the dining areas are welcoming, and they have a piano. They also have activities like exercise, movies, and church services. We also thought about the future needs for staff and medical help. Our family member moved in and was welcomed right away. They were encouraged to join others for meals and activities. The staff at Monarch Meadows is friendly, helpful, and considerate. We are very happy with Monarch Meadows, and our family member loves their new home.

"Monarch Meadows Assisted Living: Good, But Not Ideal for All"
At first glance, Monarch Meadows seems well-equipped for seniors transitioning from independent living to assisted living. However, if your loved one requires intensive care or has specific medical needs, consider other options. While they address issues promptly, the system allowing residents to refuse assistance may pose challenges. A structured care schedule could enhance the experience. Overall, it’s a decent facility but not the best fit for our family.

"Decent for basic assisted living, lacking in medical care oversight"
At first look, Monarch Meadows seems fitting for seniors moving from independent to assisted living. However, if your loved one requires high-level care or has medical needs, consider other options. Care and coordination with home health services can be disorganized, leading to overlooked details. While they address issues when raised, residents may too easily refuse assistance, which can be problematic for those needing constant care. Implementing a scheduled care routine for residents in need could greatly improve the situation. Despite shortcomings, Monarch Meadows is a decent facility but may not suit all families.

"Monarch Meadows: New, Helpful Staff, and Going Well"
Monarch Meadows is doing well. Since it's still new, we're all getting used to things. So far, everything's good. The staff is very helpful and listens to my concerns. If I need any changes, they are open to making them.

"Monarch Meadows: A Pleasant Assisted Living Choice"
It was a nice experience. They had the right nursing care for him. My husband really liked the atmosphere—it didn’t feel like a nursing home at all. If we ever needed hospice care, I’d consider Monarch Meadows again. The location was far, but that’s not a big deal. I’d recommend it to anyone.

"Good place with minor billing issues."
It seems to be a good place. It's clean, and the staff is friendly. Mom really seems to like it. When Dad fell, the staff responded well. I haven’t had many problems, except for a few billing issues.
