"Mixed Feelings about Walker Methodist Assisted Living"
I visited Walker Methodist to check it out for my husband. I thought the idea of having 5 patients for each caregiver was great. It means each caregiver can focus on a small group of people. But, I noticed there was a smell in the facility that I didn't like.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Brighter, Spacious Environment"
This place I visited had some updates, but it felt dark with low ceilings. I felt trapped. There wasn't much room, and it wasn't cheery. They should make it cozier for everyone. The furniture didn't impress me much.

"Staff nice but small, dirty facility. Seek other options."
I visited this place. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's smaller than what I was looking for. I didn't like that it seemed dirty and neglected. Families might want to look elsewhere.

"Walker Methodist: A Bright and Friendly Care Option"
Thanks to 'A Place for Mom,' we found Walker Methodist. It's been a huge help for us. We needed more care than just assisted living, and we were able to tour, get assessed, and move into a care suite within 3 days! Our private room connects to a common area shared by 4 others. The staff is friendly and capable, and the space feels bright and cheerful. We enjoyed delicious food in the dining room as guests of our loved one. Meals can be eaten in the rooms, but they might arrive lukewarm. There's a microwave in the room, which could help. While I haven't seen the assisted living spaces or the memory unit, the areas I've visited are clean and nicely decorated.

"Great Start with Room for Improvement"
My mom just moved in, so we're still figuring things out. She loves her suite and, since she's still pretty independent, she enjoys the comfort of her room, the nice atmosphere of the place, and how friendly the staff is. She can't stop talking about how good the meals are and is having fun meeting the other residents. The care services seem good, though they are a la carte, but we haven't used them much yet. The nursing staff seems caring and knows what they're doing. For someone active and sharp like her, there aren't a lot of activities, even though they have an activities director. We'll look into that more as we spend more time here.

"Pleasant, clean, but forgot appointment; disappointing for out-of-towners."
We had a meeting, but Sue forgot. Director nice. Clean place. Disappointing start for out-of-towners.

"Good care, lacking in socializing and activity encouragement."
They do well, but need improvement in socializing and activities scheduling.

"Friendly Staff and Activities"
The rooms aren’t very big, and you need to get your own cable. But for the price, it’s okay living. Overall, I give the property a 4-star rating. The staff’s friendliness also gets 4 stars, and the activities are rated 4 stars as well.
