"Unpleasant Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
The nurse and director were nice, but the place smelled bad and looked dirty. The residents seemed disheveled.

"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living"
This place is wonderful. We're looking forward to getting Mom in soon after her TCU stay. The setting is beautiful, and everyone we've met is friendly and helpful.

"Great care and cozy environment at White Pine Assisted Living"
The new house manager and nurse are doing a fantastic job with all the residents. My mom is well taken care of, and the staff is kind and knows what they’re doing. I’m really glad we picked White Pine because it’s clean, cozy, and close to home. The activities are awesome my mom loves the music and Bingo they have every week! The food is good, but sometimes she prefers to eat in her room with the meals I bring her. Our family is happy with White Pine because mom is doing great there. Thanks!

"Great care and recovery at White Pine for our mom"
and I want to say a big thank you to everyone at White Pine. They provided a great place for our mom to recover from her hip fracture until she could go back home. We were really grateful for the use of the bed, table, and bedside table. We felt that mom was taken care of very well. Thanks a lot to everyone who helped her. ---

"White Pine: Caring Staff, But Lacking in Adequate Support"
White Pine has seen many employees come and go, and hasn't adapted to the growing needs of its aging residents. They're often understaffed, particularly on weekends. The aides are kind-hearted, but they're stretched thin if anything unexpected happens during the weekend. It's tough to relocate someone who's lived there for a while because White Pine struggles to keep pace with the natural aging process of its residents, which contradicts what we were promised when we first moved in. The meals are flavorful, but they rely heavily on pasta, tomato sauce, and ground meat, which isn't always the best choice for the elderly. The rules can change, and caregivers aren't always kept in the loop.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Costs, Overall Positive Experience"
I really liked this facility. My main concern was that although the base cost is lower than others, the additional fees seemed a bit high. Also, as her health declines, she would be moved to the memory care unit, which comes with a hefty price tag of about $6200 per month. That being said, I haven't ruled this place out.

"Understaffed facility with friendly staff; new management affects services."
A while back, I would’ve said what others did. But things changed. The place got sold, and now it's managed by folks who work here. They cut down on staff, so cleaning and giving out medicine take longer. The people working here are nice and really try, but they’re spread too thin. My mom enjoys the events, and the food is tasty.

"Caring and Respectful Staff Made All the Difference"
My dad was in memory care for almost a year. The staff, from the house manager to the chef, nurses, and especially the caregivers, treated my dad and our family with great care and respect. We never saw any staff being unprofessional. We were happy to see the staff being kind, helpful, and even giving hugs or holding hands with the residents. The staff worked really hard to take care of my dad during his last week. They worked well with hospice care. The staff's attention to my dad's needs during his last week was amazing. We are forever grateful.

"Too institutional."
The place felt too much like a nursing home for my Mom's needs right now.
