"Weekend Staffing Needs Improvement"
My dad stayed at White Pines Senior Care for 6 months. The place was neat and the things to do were really fun! But, during weekends from Friday 4 PM to Monday 7 AM, only certified nursing assistants were around. I thought there would be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or a registered nurse (RN) too, but there wasn't. They did have nurses you could call if needed though.

"Subpar Memory Care and Neglected Facility at Assisted Living"
My dad stayed for a short while at this place a couple of years ago. I can't say much about the assisted living section, but the memory care unit was definitely not up to par. The entire building looked worn out and neglected, with their fish tank in memory care being almost empty, not to mention dirty most of the time. They barely had any good books, just a few poor-quality puzzles, and not much else to engage the residents. Some of the staff were nice, but some clearly favored certain residents. Except for a few meals and some occasional activities, the residents hardly had any interaction. I was really disappointed as I expected more engaging care for my dad.

"Care Not Worth the Cost, Items Lost"
My wife stayed at this place, but I had to take her out. The care she got wasn’t worth what we paid. Others living there didn’t like it either. When we left, my wife’s new purses and shoes went missing. I told the home about it, and they said they’d look for them. I’m still waiting to hear back. I wouldn’t tell other families to send their loved ones here.

"Great Community, but Limited Availability"
I really liked this place; it was one of my favorites from all the places we looked at for my loved one. The staff were on time for our appointment and kept the property clean and beautiful. My cousin just didn't want to be on the first floor, and that was the only option available at the time.

"Overall positive experience with minor issues."
The staff takes good care of my dad, and he's doing well since moving here. But it's frustrating that they don't invite him to activities. They could just take him down to join. Also, a few times, his bathroom ran out of toilet paper. Overall, we're happy with the care and the set fee is what drew us in.

"Clean and friendly facility, but lacking enough staffing"
We visited this place, it was nice and clean. People were nice and friendly. It was good, but not enough staff. They were nice to us, but it wasn't right for us.

"Cozy Community with Helpful Staff"
I didn't fancy how tiny this place was. But the staff was super nice and they made sure to answer all my questions. The building looked good and the people living there seemed content.

"Affordable, but Cramped Assisted Living Space"
We checked out this place. The cost was fair, but the living spaces were tinier than what we hoped for my Mom. The single bedroom choice was just a big room with a small outdoor area.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Care Standards"
This place has a really good salesperson who gets you interested, but the care they promise isn't what you actually get. The care for the people living here isn't good. They need better training, especially for handling residents with dementia. The staff yell at, pull, or leave the residents alone instead of helping them redirect or engage. They're quick to give drugs to calm the residents down, but it just makes them unable to function properly, which means less work for the staff. There are some other problems too - not enough silverware for meals, no snacks or extra drinks offered, chairs in common areas have stains on them, room carpets aren't vacuumed as they should be, and the bathrooms aren't properly cleaned. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

"Cozy Lodge Feel, But Lacks Independent Living Features"
The place felt like a cozy cabin in the woods, really warm and welcoming. They really pay attention to each person, trying to make sure the activities are super fun and everyone’s involved. I liked a lot of what we got to hear and see there. However, the rooms are pretty small, kind of like what you’d find in a nursing home, and they don’t have their own kitchens or places to do laundry for folks who want to do things on their own.

"Friendly Staff and Improvements"
It's going pretty well. The staff is super friendly, but the place could be cleaner. As Alzheimer's needs increase, I hope the value improves. I've mentioned wanting more fresh fruits and veggies, and they're addressing it. They're a bit short on silverware and glassware, and juice runs out fast. Overall, I'm pleased and comfortable going on vacation.
