"Facility's High Costs and Medication Issues Deterred Potential Visitors"
My friend's family member stayed there when she was older, so I checked out York's website and read some brochures. I didn't go visit because my friend's family member had problems with her meds and other stuff like wrong bills. Also, it seemed pricier than other places I was thinking about.

"Higher Price Doesn't Guarantee Higher Quality Care"
A dear friend's family member used to live in The York during her golden years. I checked out their website and went through some of their promotional materials. However, I decided not to go for a tour in person after hearing about a number of issues my friend's relative faced there, such as her medication [Removed] improperly, as well as receiving the wrong bills. Besides, it was way more costly than other places I was looking at.

"Caregiver Attention Good, Hallways Too Long: Average Rating"
I visited York Gardens for my husband. I appreciated the few caregivers for many residents, but the hallways were too long. Each had lots of rooms and no spots for residents to take a break. I wish there were cozy sitting areas in between rooms.

"Not the Right Fit for Dad"
York Gardens moved my dad to memory care, but he found the other residents irritating. The staff tried their best, but staffing issues persisted. Overall, not the right fit.

"Memory care transition led to challenges, staffing issues apparent."
My dad couldn't stay at York Gardens; they moved him to memory care. But there, he was with folks who bothered him a lot. The staff were nice, trying their best, but seemed stretched thin. They're kind, but I believe they lack enough help. Overall, it wasn't right for him, so we took him out.

"York Gardens is Amazing!"
My mom and dad have been at York Gardens since December 2012, and we are all very happy. The place is great in every way, but the best part is the amazing care they get. Everyone, from the nurses to the activity coordinators and the business office, really cares about my parents' needs. The love and care for my mom and dad mean so much to our whole family. I can't give a more enthusiastic recommendation!

"Disappointing Experience at York Gardens Assisted Living Facility"
York Gardens lets you choose services for your loved ones. We did that for our parents, but staff often skipped what was planned because they were too busy. My parents would sit in their chairs all day, not getting the care they needed. We even specified when and how to turn on the TV, but staff didn't do it. Recently, they increased fees by $40,000 a year without adding anything new. One of my family members needed weekly tests, which they never got. Our time here was terrible, and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

"Poor service, unmet needs, and unexpected price hike disappoint families."
At York Gardens, families create a Care Plan for their loved ones. However, staff often missed providing the specified services, citing being "too busy." As a result, parents were left in their chairs facing a wall, missing out on TV time as outlined in the plan. Recently, a sudden $40,000 annual rate increase was imposed without adding any new services. Furthermore, crucial medication tests were neglected. Overall, our experience was awful, and we cannot recommend this place.
