"Good care, but sometimes food is too spicy or limited"

Overall, this facility is clean. With 12 residents, one staff member can sometimes feel overwhelmed. The food usually looks tasty, but sometimes it has too much chili or BBQ for older people. At a recent meeting, residents were told they were using too many eggs. But eggs are great for protein, iron, and are easy to digest. Plus, eggs aren't very expensive. Overall, the care is very good, and the staff handles medical needs well.

"Bristol Manor: A Warm and Friendly Home"

Bristol Manor is a great place to live. I’ve been here for 5 months. The staff goes out of their way to make you happy. The meals are great, always on time, and hot. They help you with any problems you might have. They are polite to your family and friends. The place is clean. My sons didn’t want me to come to a place like this, but I have improved so much. They don’t have to worry about me anymore. The administrator is very good at her job. She knows what she’s doing and does it well. I would recommend this place to anyone. The administrator notices changes in the residents, which is great. It feels like a home, not just a room. We have entertainment, movie nights with popcorn and soda, bingo, music, and school kids who come in to entertain us. The residents are like a family. To me, this place is home. It’s nice, clean, warm, and friendly. I was a charge nurse in a nursing home for 25 years, so I notice things from the staff, and I am very comfortable and happy here.

"Mixed experience, but now it's great!"

I’ve lived at Bristol Manor for 13 months, and it’s been a mix of good and bad. When I first moved in, the administrator was great, but then she left, and her replacement wasn’t good at all. Thankfully, our current manager has really turned things around. Now, I love living here and plan to stay as long as I can. My room is always clean, my meals are hot, and I get my meds on time. I’m not one to play games, but my family is so happy I’m here, and they don’t worry about me anymore.

"Headline: "Neglectful Assisted Living Facility Denies Promised Services""

Do not choose this place for a loved one. The staff here doesn't look after their residents. They make false promises and only seem interested in taking residents' money. My mom didn't have any stimulating activities to do during her stay. Despite being promised a safe shower space, nothing was delivered. Tracking her ins and outs wasn't made available either. She was told that she would move from Centralia to a place in Mexico, her hometown, within a month. Sadly, many other residents were fed similar false hope. All just to fill up rooms and collect payments. I've tried complaining over the phone, but the owner doesn't respond. On my second try, the call was just disconnected.

"Improvements Made at Bristol Manor Make It Recommendable"

We moved our mom into Bristol Manor. The Administrator at the time promised the same type of care we were providing at home. The care was poor, the housekeeping wasn't good, the meals were not served at scheduled times, and the food quality was bad. My mom ended up back in the hospital and ER several times due to lack of care and medication issues. The new administration was hired with previous Bristol Manor experience. The new administration and staff have made extra efforts to ensure that mom's specific needs are met. They listen to us when we talk to them about mom. They have also made many improvements to the facility, including the cleanliness. Meal times are now scheduled, and a menu is posted daily so the residents know what to expect. The individual rooms are spacious, with private bathrooms and large closets. I would now recommend this facility to friends and family!

"Assisted Living Facility Fails to Assist, Kicks out Elderly Mother"

Never ever send a loved one to this nursing home! They tell you it's assisted living when you register. But once they've got your money, at check-in time, they suddenly stop helping with anything. The staff just comes and goes. Within a span of 9 months, Mom had to put up with 5 different Managers. They booted my 92-year-old mom out giving just about 90-minutes heads up. They complained she wasn't making it to the bathroom or supper on her own. Funny, because she was walking 150ft all by herself just two days before at a different nursing place! The boss here is way out of line and doesn't know the first thing about being professional.

"Staff excels with service despite aging facilities; great meals appreciated."

It was better than other similar-priced options we considered. I'm not very familiar with the activities, but they seem to have regular ones without much variety. The staff has been excellent, going beyond in their service. The facility itself is older and okay, not great, but the caring and friendly staff make up for it. One reason we chose this place was because the food at the previous facility was terrible, but Bristol Manor serves really good meals. The manager often goes to the Amish community for fresh fruits and vegetables, which Mom loves.
