"Concerns Over Poor Management and Care at Assisted Living Facility"
My relative lives here, and there are several problems. 1- Each resident gets a small amount for food each day. If meals were properly planned and food bought in large quantities, this might work. But that isn't happening. Often, family members have to bring in home-cooked meals for the residents. 2- Cleanliness is questionable. There's only one person who cleans everything. Administration won't help out, saying it's not their job to clean. 3- Activities are scarce. Residents have to organize a bingo game themselves. There's nothing else offered. 4- The place isn't safe. The doors aren't checked at night. There's no employee awake or working at night as the state requires. 5- The medication situation is bad. They're often wrong, never given on time, and aren't refilled promptly. Some residents have to go without their meds.

"Bristol Manor Provides Shockingly Poor Living Conditions"
My mom just moved out from Bristol Manor of Smithville because our experience there was awful. The food isn't good. Despite what they say in their ads, they don't actually offer any sort of activities. There were multiple mistakes made with my mom's medication and we had issues with the staff. We complained a bunch of times to Bristol Manor, but they never did anything about it. My family ended up reporting them to the state. There's only one person working there and no one's doing any cleaning. There's even a 98-year-old lady who has to tidy up her own room, even though they're supposed to do that for her. It was a really bad time and I wouldn't tell anyone to send their loved one there.

"Terrible Assisted Living Facility Neglects Duties and Deceives Families"
This place is terrible. Right from the start, they deceived us. The food they barely give is low quality. The person who's supposed to be in charge also works the night shift but just sleeps and doesn't bother to check on residents every 2 hours as they should. There are no activities, even though they claimed there would be. When we voice our worries, they don't take us seriously and nothing improves. They don't clean or do laundry like they're supposed to and don't even offer to. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're looking for a big headache. They merely serve poor meals and administer medications, often with mistakes. They try to intimidate you if you complain or express valid issues. They're completely uncaring about their residents. I bet they'll respond to this with more falsehoods. I have other relatives who can vouch for how awful this company is and how they should feel guilty.

"Unreliable and Unsafe: Poor Management and Services at Facility"
The management switches so frequently, it's hard to keep up. Their food is comparable to what you'd get at a cheap daycare, and the top bosses seem more bent on making a profit than caring for seniors. If you dare to voice out your complaints for your family members' sake, they'll intimidate you. Despite their claims, the place doesn't offer any engaging activities for the people staying there. Also, the staff doesn't do a good job maintaining cleanliness or safety.

"Terrible Care and Poor Management at the Assisted Living Facility"
The people in charge here seem to change every week. The food quality is like what you'd get at a cheap daycare. The top bosses lie and seem to worry more about money than looking after our older folks. If you try to confront them for your family, they'll threaten you. Despite what they claim on their website, there are no fun activities for the people living here. The staff doesn't keep the place clean or safe. Also, they leave their medical supplies out in the open and unguarded and handle food with their bare hands...

"Feels Like Family at Bristol Assisted Living"
I’ve been living at Bristol for almost a year now, and I love it here. The manager and her staff are super helpful and always go out of their way to assist me. I enjoy getting out of my room to watch TV and chat with the staff while they cook. They always make time for me, and I feel like they’re my family. I’m so glad I moved here because I’m not lonely anymore.

"Bristol Manor: Cold Meals, Lack of Support, False Advertising"
Don't pick Bristol Manor for your loved ones' assisted living needs. Yes, they serve meals - which often involve leftovers or cold breakfasts - and give out medication. But that's about it. They say they've got planned activities, but that's not true. After every meal, they dim the lights and suggest everyone head to their rooms, meaning there's no support for everyday living. No helping hand, just enforced seclusion. They claim staff is on call around-the-clock, but night shifts are unmanned, no matter what they tell you. I know this firsthand. Even the Administrator, who lives there with her kids, isn't available at night. One time a resident, an elderly lady of 77, wandered off unnoticed because of the lack of staff. She was lost for 8 hours in blistering 100-degree weather. She was lucky to survive. If your loved one requires care, don't choose Bristol Manor. It's meant for folks who prefer to keep to themselves.

"Bristol Manor: Poor Care, Rude Staff, and Cheap Food"
My mom stayed at Bristol Manor for four months. While they promise quality care, they're really quite lax in providing services. The place is run by an administrator whose adult sons also live there. They're known for their rude language and frequent outbursts. They tend to talk down to the residents, treating them like kids. Despite claiming to be staffed around the clock, this isn't true. They sleep during the night, leaving notes telling residents not to disturb them. They also gossip about the residents when they're not present. They often gripe about not having sufficient funds for food and it shows - by month's end, the meals are meager and of poor quality.

"Bristol’s Decline"
Once a place filled with warmth, delicious meals, and caring staff, Bristol has taken a sharp turn for the worse since July 2018. The arrival of new managers has drastically altered the atmosphere. Think twice before entrusting your loved ones here.

"Beware: Bristol's Warmth Dimmed by New Management"
Bristol once provided a caring atmosphere along with delicious meals and affectionate assistance. Sadly, a huge change occurred in July 2018 when new management stepped in. I wouldn't recommend placing your loved ones here.

"Community Underwhelming and Smelly, but People Pleasant"
I didn't like this place much. The community seemed old and worn out, plus there was a bad smell when we visited. The folks we met were friendly, though.

"Excellent Facility"
I really like Bristol Manor in Smithville, MO. The food is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It feels cozy and homey, but the only issue is the uncleared parking lot during winter.

"Not fit to live in, intense tobacco smoke everywhere"
We wouldn't stay in a spot like this, the intense scent of tobacco smoke was just too strong.
