"Missouri Retirement Home Criticized for Deplorable Conditions"
My grandma has been living here for a few years and the place is awful. Due to her money issues, she can't move elsewhere. Recently the boss quit and there's a constant switch up of workers doing round-the-clock shifts. Whenever there's a problem, I've tried to contact a higher-up in the company, but never get an answer. It's incredibly serious when the elderly continually receive wrong medications. It's unacceptable when workers drop food on the floor and then serve it. It's outrageous when they fall asleep while drinking on the job, until someone wakes them up almost at noon just so they can cook breakfast and give out medicine. This all comes down to bad communication and a lack of morals. Rooms aren't being properly cleaned. There's literally no activities happening. The only bright spot is the one or two local workers who actually care. Everyone else has been disappointing. I can't believe that this company, which manages numerous retirement homes in Missouri, is allowing this.

Holt High School students participate in an 'adopt a grandparent' program, fostering social interaction. Additionally, a local beauty school now offers monthly hair styling appointments. Each resident enjoys private rooms and baths.

"Basic Yet Engaging Facilities for Residents"
This place is simple, but it looks after the people living here. The boss, Susie, seems really excited and is working hard to bring in more fun things to do and services right here. Kids from Holt High School hang out with the residents as part of a 'adopt a grandparent' program, so there's more chances for chatting. Also, a beauty school from around here is starting to visit once a month to do hair styling. Each person gets their own room and bathroom.
