"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility with Friendly Staff"
The catheter care wasn't as expected. Unsure if all techs are trained. We hosted Thanksgiving and a birthday party there. Staff were helpful. The room for events was excellent. Father-in-law is Jewish; food options seemed limited. He found it bland. Cake offered was tasty. Staff were friendly and welcoming. They greeted him warmly. Family was impressed with the welcome video sent.

"Brookdale: Easy Choice for Cozy Memory Care"
Choosing Brookdale made things easy for our family. Before, we had many appointments and tours. We picked it because it’s close to other family, in a safe neighborhood, and offers all-inclusive rates for memory care in a cozy community.

"Neglectful and Unreliable Facility, Not Recommended"
My grandpa was at this spot for only two weeks. While there, they messed up his meds, and didn't provide the care we paid for, like helping him shower, dress, and get to meals. One day I even found him in the same clothes he slept in, without any changes at all. I could smell him down the hall! They said sorry and claimed it wouldn't happen again, but then he fell a few days later. He had to crawl to the hallway and scream for help. After two more bad incidents in that same week, I pulled him out. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy!

"Poor staff and care at Brookdale West County."
Our Mom's experience at Brookdale West County was disappointing. After a week, she returned home with her son and brother tending to her necessary needs. We really wished we could've kept her nearby, but the conditions were so horrible that we now plan to move her out of town to ensure adequate care. If you're exploring dementia care in West County, St Louis, we highly suggest not choosing Brookdale. We spent much of the week there with her, and we found the staff insufficient and possibly harsh. The activities for residents were scant and unsuitable. The place is currently undergoing administration changes, and nobody was enforcing rules. As a result, the residents were suffering. While the facility is pretty, don't be deceived. Ultimately, it's about the employees and the care they give or fail to give your loved one.

"Money-hungry "Pros" Target Family Members In Assisted Living"
I wouldn't suggest anyone to put their family member there. They're just trying to take every single penny you've got! I'm going all the way up the chain to protest and fight against this lousy crew of 'pros'!

"Fancy Place, But Care and Doctor Availability Lacking"
My family member was at this place for a little while. The place itself was pretty and it’s in a good part of the city, so it looked really nice. But I wasn’t happy with how they managed my family member’s time there. They put them in a special area for people with memory issues, and I didn’t think they needed that much help. I had to take them out when they got super sick because the place’s doctor was away on a trip.

"Unwelcoming Staff and Short Tour, Clean Environment, Individual Tours Suggested"
We visited this place to see if it was good for someone to live in. The people who work there didn't make me feel welcome. Because of that, we didn't get very far on the tour. The place looked clean, though. We think families should tour by themselves if they're thinking about it.

"Director’s Honesty and Warmth Shine Despite Initial Challenges"
Things are going okay for my dad. At first, it took a while for them to provide the basic care he needed, which was disappointing. However, the director was honest about the challenges they faced, like staff turnover and issues during the night. I appreciated his honesty. They really like my dad and have gotten to know me well. They plan activities, and the place feels warm and homey. I was impressed when the director even came to my house to redo an assessment.

"Positive tour experience, great amenities, location not ideal for me."
I had a good tour of this community. The staff were punctual and provided useful information. The floor plan and amenities were impressive, but the location wasn't suitable in the end.
