"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility with Institutional Feel and Unpleasant Odors"
I was kinda let down by this place. It's pricey compared to others I've checked out, and the part where they help folks live wasn't too impressive. When I walked in, there was this strong smell right at the door, and the people at the front desk were chatting away without noticing me. They kept at it while I filled out some paperwork. Then another staff member came over and joined in, which felt kinda odd. During the tour, I noticed some not-so-great smells, like the furniture needing a good cleaning. The place felt very much like a hospital or something. There were cleaning folks and their stuff all over the halls, making it hard for people with wheelchairs or walkers to get by. And they didn't really move to let us through. The rooms they showed me were a bit dirty and needed fixing up, especially one that hadn't been cleaned yet since the last person left. The common areas were small and empty, nobody using them. And the game room was tiny with a tiny door. Nothing was super awful by itself (except for the smells), but altogether, I don't think my family would like it here. It's too much like a nursing home that looks like a motel.

"Disappointed in High-Priced Facility with Off-Putting Smells & Inconsiderate Staff"
I felt kind of let down by this place. It's going to cost more than other places I'm checking out and I wasn't blown away by the assisted living area. The entrance had a strong odor and two workers were chatting but didn't stop to help me. They kept on talking while I filled out their card. I just waited as yet another staffer stood and talked. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but seemed strange. During the tour, I noticed more off-putting smells - like dirty furniture needed to be cleaned. The place felt too much like a hospital. Cleaning workers were taking up hallway space alongside laundry carts and cleaning supplies. One room even had a charging cord in the walking area. Workers didn't move or make room even when residents or I needed to get around them. The two rooms they showed me needed cleaning and small fixes (like one room that had just been emptied but not yet cleaned). The shared spaces were small and not being used at all. Even the game room was tiny with a little door. It wasn't any one big thing (except the bad smells) that didn't appeal to me, but altogether I know my family wouldn't enjoy it. It felt too much like an outdated motel trying to be a nursing home.
